Girlfriend?!

I wake to the feeling of someone shaking me. I jump from the scare "Y/N, honey wake up you are gonna be late for school!" My eyes open and I see my mom. Letting out a sigh I say "thanks for getting me up mom, what am I gonna do when you move to Chicago?" "You'd miss school." We both chuckle and my mom playfully shoves me. "Hey!" I say while falling back. My mom just laughs leaving the room. I get up looking at the time realizing I only have 45 min to get ready I ran to the bathroom and jumped into the shower. After my quick shower I brushed my teeth and braided my hair due to my hair being wet it was the easiest hairstyle to do, the braid I decided on was a fishtail. I then looked in the mirror and did my skincare routine, applied a basic makeup look, and ran down the stairs. Meeting my mom in the kitchen she says "I made you a smoothie so you can take it to go!" I hugged my mom and went to leave for school when I hear my mom shout "Y/N you're forgetting something!" I turn to face her confused and I see her holding my phone. "OMG, I can't believe I almost forgot this." My mom handed me my phone "I plugged it in last night for you once I realized you left it on the table." We both chuckled I gave her one last hug and headed to the door. I grabbed my bag and threw it over my shoulder and was out the door. I sat on the steps and gave Danny a call.

Danny: Hello

Y/N: Hey we still walking to campus together

Danny: Lookup (Chuckles)

I look up and I see Danny standing at the end of the driveway. I stand and I run over to him jumping into his arms. "Well good morning to you too." Danny set me down and I smiled at him. "Look I know yesterday was a rough day for us can we just move past it and have a better day today?" Danny looked down at me and gave a small smile and then it grew bigger I smiled back "Y/N I would love that, I'm sorry for everything I missed this." "Me too Danny me too." We both hug and I say "Shall we" Danny chuckled and we made our way over to campus. I started sipping on my smoothie and I feel it leave my grasp and Danny drank it. "Mango my favorite!" "Mine to now give it back!" Danny took another sip and gave it back and we both laughed and kept walking. After the short walk over Danny and I said goodbye and I headed to class. I had English first than Math and then I was free for the rest of the day. English has always been my favorite because I have always loved reading and writing. I always dreaded going to Math the only good thing about math was seeing Danny due to us having the same class. English was great as always after class I made my way over to math.

 Walking in I see Danny sitting in his usual spot but there was a girl already sitting next to him where my seat usually was. She was blonde and slim and I had the realization that the girl he was kissing yesterday was a blonde. I wanted to run but I was no coward anymore. I walked over and I see her head resting on Danny's shoulder. "Hey, Danny!" He looks up and I could see him give a worried look. "H-Hey Y/N". Danny said with a slight stutter I look over at the girl and say, "Hey I'm Y/N and you are?" She stands and smiles at me and pulls me in for a hug. Her voice was so enthusiastic as she's hugging me "OMG I finally meet the famous Y/N, Danny has told me so much about you!" She lets go of me and continued on "Sorry just so excited to finally meet you! My name is Amber!" "Very nice to meet you, Amber." I look over and Danny was silent and barely making eye contact with me. "I'll be right back," Danny says. I watch as Danny leaves the classroom. My focus is brought back to Amber when I hear her speaking to me once again. "So Y/N how long have you known Danny for?" I thought to myself why does she want to know, but I bit my tongue and forced a smile and answered her "Since junior year back in high school and we've been best friends ever since." I smile and continue on hoping she believed the fake smile I was giving "What about you, how long have you and Danny been friends?" She started to laugh and answered, "Oh we met last summer at a party, but I'm not his friend I'm his girlfriend!" WHAT THE HELL HIS GIRLFRIEND! My mind was going everywhere and I couldn't believe what just came out of her mouth I was brought back out of my mind when I heard "Hello and good morning class, today we will be covering chapters 12 and 13 please make sure you are prepared for note-taking." I look at Amber "It was so nice to meet you, I'm gonna take my seat." Amber gave me another hug and I thought I was gonna be sick "Yes it was awesome to finally meet you we should definitely hang out sometime!" I smiled and gave her nod and headed to an open seat that was located 3 seats back from where Danny and Amber were sitting. I take my seat and I see Danny enter the classroom once again he gave me a smile and I did the same when in reality I wanted to slap him across the face. Danny sat down next to Amber once again. I knew I had to focus on the lecture and that is exactly what I did. After sitting through an hour lecture I had 5 pages worth of notes written out. "Thank you class I know that was a lot to cover today thank you for your time and I will see you all next week!" The professor dismissed everyone. I gathered all my stuff together and packed it into my bag. "Y/N" I look up to see Amber waving me over to both her and Danny. I gathered my things and got my fake smile back on and walked over that way. "Danny and I are heading over to the diner you should totally tag along!" It took so much of me to hold myself together and not blow up at Danny right then and there, how could he hide this from me and worse kiss me when he has a girlfriend. "Oh that is so sweet of you to offer, but I can't as much fun as that sounds I have plans at The Busy Bean." I see Danny furrow his brow and I just gave him a smile. "Oh I've never been there I've heard it's great though!" Amber said with a smile. I look at her then Danny and back at Amber "Yeah it's a very attractive and fun place!" Danny gave me a look of pure anger and I knew exactly what I was doing, the only attractive quality I was talking about was Arny... and Danny could tell what I was getting at. "Well I hope you guys enjoy the diner and I'll see you later... bestie!" I said while giving Danny a slight fist bump to his arm. I started walking away and made my way to the hall and toward the door to leave campus. I went to reach for the handle when I was pulled back by the arm and I was pulled into a classroom that was empty.

I turn to see Danny and I was furious at the sight of him. I rip my arm from him and take a few steps back away from him. "Danny what the hell is wrong with you, I'm not a doll that you can just throw around!" "You were a bitch back there you know that right?!" I walked up to Danny and I slapped him across the face "DON'T YOU EVER FUCKING CALL ME A BITCH!" Danny looked at me with pure shock, Danny and I both know that I am not a violent person, but Danny calling me a bitch struck a nerve and there was no holding back. "What the fuck Y/N, what has gotten into you, why would you slap me?" I looked at Danny and I was not hiding the fact that I knew who Amber was anymore. "IDK maybe the fact that I finally met your girlfriend!" Danny backed up at my words and he struggled to form a sentence "I-I-I can explain okay". I start to laugh and leaned against a table and folded my arms and rolled my eyes at Danny's words. "Danny I don't want to hear it! You come at me yesterday, almost fight Arny, fucking kiss me! And you have a girlfriend?!" I was furious and I was not holding anything back. Danny started walking towards me I put my hand up and said "Don't you dare come near me." My voice was shaky and I was now crying. My tears were not of sadness they were of pure frustration I was so upset and I just wanted to leave. "Y/N please I need to explain myself please," Danny spoke with so much sorrow in his voice. "Danny I'm leaving we need a break plus your girlfriend is waiting," I say while walking past Danny while wiping my tears away.

 I feel Danny's arms come over my shoulders and his embrace was so tight, I couldn't hold in tears anymore and I just fell apart. Danny turns me around and pulls me into his chest. His arms are wrapped around me and I feel his chin rest on my head. I look up at Danny and my face is covered in tears "Danny I need to go... I need time to think about things please let me go." My voice is full of cracks due to how emotional I am. "Please just stay talk with me, we can figure things out, please Y/N" "Danny just stop," I say pulling away and Danny grabs me tighter and I hear him say "I can't lose you, I can't!" I look at him and I can feel more tears forming in my eyes "you'll never lose me Danny, but I need time okay please". I feel Danny release his grip on me and I run to the door and I leave Danny standing in the room.
