Shouldn't Be Alone

Chapter 9

Cole and I immediately look up and see Hannah with her mouth wide open.
"Um... Was I... Interrupting something?" She says awkwardly.

"It's not what it looks like..." I say getting up and helping Cole up, too "I tripped over the stairs and Cole caught me but we both fell over onto the ground..." I explain.
"Oh. Okay. Well I just wanted to check on you..." She says

"It seems to me everyone wants to check on me..." I say, "well thanks you two for stopping by but I don't want you two to get sick"
"Okay... Well text me if you need anything..." Cole says
"I hope you feel better" Hannah says.

I walk them out and grab the pan in the living room and put it away. Then I head upstairs and listening to my music again,
I decide to go ahead and check my temperature... 97.4, I've been sick for 3 1/2 days, this is a better improvement from 104.8 at least.

My fever broke which means I'll able to go on this date... School? I mean I'm not 100% better so...

As I was eating my lunch I heard the door unlock and knew my mom come in...
"Hi sweetie, how are you feeling?"
She asks
"A lot better than the last 3 days, my fever finally broke!" I say happily,
"What was your temperature?" She asks curiously
"97.4" I answer
Her face looks happy and filled with relief because I know she hates seeing me get sick and suffer.
"Well that's good. So how do you like your new school? I know you've only been there for a week but... I just want to know..."
"Oh it's been fine." I say
"Did you make any friends?" She asks
"A few..." I say.
"Can I know "a few" names?"
"Hannah... And C- Co... Cole." I say shyly, "Mom? Can I go to the park tomorrow after school with a friend?"
"Sure why not..." She says "and these friends... Are they girls or one boy and girl?"
"One boy and girl" I say.
I head upstairs and clean up my room and spray it with disinfectant spray.
I grab a new change of clothes and decide to take a shower...

So I just ate lunch at 11:30, the same time the students eat lunch at my school so that means it would be time for 4th period... Uggggg 4 more class periods to go. I hop into the shower and try to take as long as possible on purpose so that way I'd let more time pass by...

(15 minutes later) even though only 15 minutes went by it seemed like 2 hours had gone by.
My mom had to go to the grocery store and since I didn't want to stay cooped up in my room all day I decided I wanted to go with her.
I put on my black shorts and my light blue sweater with my black converse and headed out the door and we were on our way to the store...

I didn't wanna risk seeing anyone I knew from school so I decided to stay in the car, my mom said she would be back in "a few minutes" so I knew I had a good while all to myself.
I haven't checked my phone for a while unless it was to check my messages so I decided to see what I missed...

This link was emailed to me by Hannah once school ended shortly last week.

I click on it and I'm taken to...

Ugh, these headlines are too cheesy!
These stories are correct but it really sucks because it's almost like they're stalking you to know this.
I hear my mom's phone begin to ring and I ignore it.

It rings 3 more times and I begin to think it's important so I take the keys outta the car and run towards the store but I didn't notice the cars coming...

Someone, really tall, snatched me out of the road and onto the sidewalk before a car hit me. But the person who caught me was someone who I thought I'd never see again.
"It's you again..."
I say as we're still holding onto each other. And suddenly I'm scared.
