Shouldn't Be Alone

Chapter 14

After breakfast, which was burnt toast and Nutella, we headed back up stairs.
Hannah makes me try on 525,600 outfits until she was finally satisfied with one outfit.

It was a gray long sleeve shirt that was tucked into my skirt which had black and white tribal patterns.
And the shoes... My converse.
Of course.

My hair was in a side ponytail with a braid in it, and my daily make-up
I looked decent!

"Oh my god... After 2 1/2 hours we finally got you to look... Good!" Hannah says
"Um... Thanks?" I say
"Well it's 11:15... We have some time to kill" she says

We spent those two hours being on our phones going on SnapChat, Instagram and all that.

I locked the up house and went outside with Hannah to wait for Cole.
"You look... Wow." He says
"Thanks..." I say shyly
"You two have fun!" Hannah says before leaving

"Are you ready?" Cole asks
"Of course..." I reply.

We arrived at Ocee Park and headed towards an empty area for "alone" time
We kinda both just sit there awkwardly.
"So... How's life?" I ask
"Oh it's cool..." He says.

More silence.

I got up and stuck my hand out
"Where are we going?" He asks
"You feel rushed. Let's go somewhere, where we can feel like... Like we're not rushing into this, and a place where there's ice cream." I say
We grab our thing s and head towards the car and put our things I them.
We walk until we reach an ice cream place...
We get in and start getting our ice cream, there's like 28382838292 flavors but I stick with plain vanilla
Cole chose Birthday Cake.
We headed over towards the topping and he had no clue what to do, he looked lost.
"Just get what you like..." I say
I filled mine with cherries, skittles, and gummy-bears.
He finally put toppings on his and we headed over to the cashier.
I started pulling my wallet out when he stopped me
"I'll pay." He says
"No it's fine, really I-"
"I'll pay, go find us somewhere to sit" he says giving the money to the cashier
I pick a spot near the window so we can get a view but it's also near the corner.
"Thanks..." I say
"Your welcome" he says
Once we finished we asked each other questions to get to know ourselves better...
"Favorite color..?" He asks
"Purple. Favorite food?" I say
"Pizza. Why do you like me?" He asks suddenly
"Well... You're funny, nice, and you saved my face... 3 times I guess?" I say with a slight laugh.
"Why do you like me?" I ask
"You're cute, funny, and clumsy..." He says.
Once we've finished asking questions we head back to the park and I find a tree and climb it. He goes after me and we reach a branch that's big enough for both of us, and it's not too high
We sit in silence observing the kids from a far as they play.

This is okay, I guess.

Well until I see Drew watching my every move.
