Back in the games room, Satori finds Eri and makes the mistake of challenging her at beerpong. She loses and drinks some more, taken in the moment, feeling tipsy but care free. The drinks flow, making her more and more intoxicated, the music and atmosphere making it impossible for her not to feel exhilarated in this unusual freeing sensation.
She's not used to being like this but for some reason tonight she becomes another person.
In one of her very short lucid moments, in the middle of a foosball game, she remembers having left Akiko outside and worries.
"I'm... I'm just going to get some... fresh air." She babbles with difficulty.
"Are you okay?" Kise asks. "We're winning!"
"Yeah, sorry I have to find a friend."
Walking cautiously her hand sliding along the wall to keep her steady, she can tell she's had too much to drink, but she's having such a great time, she doesn't care. Once on the landing, she sees Aomine coming up the stairs as he has now noticed her. Stopping him a couple of steps before he reaches the top, she smiles and plonks her arms on his shoulders. He's so handsome and she feels lucky.
"Hello boyfriend!" She says before leaning closer to him. Her lips land on his before he has time to react, offering him a short sweet kiss, not a pec, a confident kiss. Without realising, his body instinctively reacting to the feeling of lips on his, he reciprocates the kiss.
After that, she strokes his cheek and remembers that she was on her way out to find Akiko, walking down the stairs, on a mission, leaving him there.
He is stunned, stuck on that step but staring at her going down, not knowing if he should continue to go up or catch her to ask what all that was about. Did he mislead her? No! No he didn't, she offered to help him out with that boyfriend/girlfriend thing and they talked about hooking up so it was clear he wasn't serious.
She was obviously drunk seeing the way she spoke and moved around. He's surprised she didn't fall down the stairs to be honest.
What... what is he supposed to do? It felt nice, the kiss but mostly the ephemeral feeling of being someone's special person, enhanced by her eyes on him, her smile and her soft touch on his cheek. Touching his cheek and tracing his lips with his thumb he gets lost in the memory of this surreal yet delicious sensation.
What should he do? Just ignore it? Yes, he will ignore it. She's drunk. She didn't mean it. She might end up feeling embarrassed about it when she sobers up or she's so wasted that she won't even remember. He hopes she won't.
"Hey man! Did you see Satori?" Kise asks his friend who is unable to control the heat rising on his cheeks. "Aomine! Did you see her?"
"I... I..." The feeling of her sweet lips on his invades his senses and stops him from focusing on answering.
"What's wrong with you man? Are you okay? Are you drunk?"
"No! She went downstairs." He says shortly now back to his old self.
"Thanks."
Kise rushes to the ground floor and finds her talking to Akiko and new friends in the garden.
"Satori. Come back in." He says flirtatiously.
"No thanks. I'm better outside." She smiles incredulous of his charming attitude because of her drunken state.
"Ok. I'll stay too then. Do you want a drink?"
"Sure!" She says cheerfully.
"Let me get you a beer." He adds turning around and surprised to face Aomine handing her a can of Coke without a word.
