It's Monday morning. New place but same routine.
She set her alarm so she could go for a run, adding in a little time as she now lives further away from campus.
Dressed in tight shorts and lose top, she comes out of her room while tying her hair up and is startled when she ends up face to face with him also dressed in shorts and t-shirt.
"Out for a run?" She asks awkwardly.
"Yeah."
"Do you have a good route around here?" She asks but is not sure she'll be able to keep up with him.
"Sure. Just follow me."
And there they go. He's fast but she's comfortably following him and she's not sure if he's slowing down for her or if it's his normal pace.
Both wearing their earbuds, they don't feel the need to talk and just focus on their own thing. It's not uncomfortable. It might have been if they had had to make conversation.
The area is nice, the morning clear and warm.
A block before they return, he stops running, walking at a good pace. Taking their earbuds off, they cool down, breathing heavily.
"I didn't go too fast?" He asks.
"No. I was worried you were slowing down for me."
"Not at all. That's my pace. I'd planned to lose you if you weren't keeping up." He teases.
"Haha! I would have found my way back you know."
"I don't doubt it. Do you run every day?"
"Yeah. Except when I wake up with a hangover." He chuckles. "You?"
"Yeah. Except when I take drunk girls home and spend the night sleeping on their floor." She smiles knowingly.
"Sorry about that."
"It's fine."
Going back upstairs, they drink and she pushes the coffee table to do some stretches, opening her legs after sitting down and leaning forward.
"Can you push me? Please?"
"Sure."
About to place his hands on her back, he hesitates before reminding himself she's just his roommate. It's fine. She asked after all.
Feeling his big warm hands covering most of her back, pushing her down strongly, she suddenly realises that maybe it wasn't appropriate to ask him but he didn't say anything and he's doing it.
Her struggling breath, as he pushes her back rhythmically, makes it sound slightly erotic and he gets flustered, stopping abruptly.
"Thanks."
"Sure!"
"Do you want me to return the favour?" She asks clueless of the unexpected state she has put him in.
"No I'm fine. I don't need to stretch that much." He says before folding himself to grab his calves and quickly stretching the rest of his body.
She can't help but staring at the definition of his upper arm and shoulder muscles, sweat dripping from his forehead that he wipes with the back of his hand, before dragging his fingers in his damp hair, his biceps bulking and his tshirt slightly lifting to tease with the view of his tights abs. Her whole body heats up, her instant desire being to touch the dark skin of his perfectly sculpted body.
"I'LL TAKE THE SHOWER FIRST!" She shouts unable to control herself, desperate to disappear, feeling guilty to have such uncontrollable thirst for the man who has been nothing but a gentleman, a saviour to her.
