She can't go far before he grabs her wrist and pulls her, making her fall on his lap. Trying to hide the emotion built in her eyes, she digs her face in his neck as he embraces her.
Cradling her, he's completely lost in this moment. She is too. She wants to stay there where everything is easy. That's what she meant to say. It was so easy, it didn't feel real, it felt like a dream.
"Satori. Stay with me." He whispers, trying to get her to look at him.
"Daiki." She breathes out anxiously, her lips trembling.
"I can tell how anxious you are. Do you really think you'd be reacting this way if you didn't have feelings for me? Accept them and let's just be together."
"I don't do relationsh..."
"Bullshit! I didn't use to either and now I want to... with you..." He says cupping her cheek and dropping a warm kiss on her lips.
"I just don't know if I want to. But if I did, it'd be with you. Nobody else has ever made me feel the way you do."
"Then just let it happen... organically. We can take it slow if you want."
"We live together and we slept together. How can we take it slow?" He chuckles at the reality of it all.
"Okay, so we didn't do things in the traditional order. We are both rebellious and stubborn after all."
Wiping the tear that crept up on her cheek without noticing, he reassures her as she leans her forehead against his.
"I have volleyball and studying. I don't have time for relationships."
"You don't have time for drama. You've had time for me since we moved in together and it's worked just fine. Think about it. We don't need to change anything."
She stares at him and feels sad. Why is she so stubborn? She embedded this 'no relationships' policy in her mind for so long, she doesn't know how to get rid of it.
When she was told that her ovaries no longer worked at the age of fourteen, after being treated by chemotherapy for her lymphoma, she thought that there would never be any point in sharing her life with someone and not being able to give them a family. She was resolute.
How do you even bring this up? When do you bring this up in a relationship? Might as well not even try.
Staring at Aomine's eyes, she can't say anything but she can imagine him being a wonderful dad in the future, lifting his toddler in the air and the loving smile on his beautiful face. Tears escape again because she knows this is not a future she can ever offer him.
"Hey, hey, don't cry baby." He says, kissing where her tears are falling, pecking her eyes, his hands cupping her face.
She can't resist this man, she can't contain what she feels right now and she sobs while kissing him back.
He pulls her close and she ends up straddling him.
Their mutual feelings bursting out of they bodies as his hands caress her back and her fingers drag through his soft hair.
"Satori... I..." Seeing the expression in his eyes, she stops him from finishing what he's about to say by kissing him lusciously. She can't hear him say what she assumes would tear her apart right now and he doesn't insist.
Instead, their kiss deepens and his embrace tightens as she moves over him, making him grunt in pleasure.
Is it okay? To want to have sex now? Is she leading him on, making him think that he won? He knows the battle is still raging in her mind and he's okay with it. He just wants to show her how much he wants her and that he won't give up.
