6. The Meeting

PoV- Meerab Aly

So, the day is finally here, With each passing second, the tension in the office is also increasing. Meerab Khan is in her cabin today, she didn't show her face since morning, no doubt she is handling the whole work today, as Farah is busy with the auditing team, And I'm here preparing a ppt presentation and myself for the meeting with Amirah Shah.

Amirah Shah, the most admired buisness woman, I like her very much, her style, passion, make-over and what not. She's very particular about little things, and that's what is troubling me, ifa make even a small mistake,it wouldn't go unnoticed by her and I fear of the loss that would happen only because of me. Oh yes! I know i should be confident and should believe on myself, but that isn't easy, okay? Everyone in their lives always come across some moments when they lose their confidence and even lose themselves. I can say I'm really lucky to have people by my side who give me support, confidence and encourage me to move further and thus I'm here today, being the entrepreneur and managing director, only because of them.
I did a rehearsal too and recorded it to check my weak points and worked on it. You can use mirror too if you're at your home sweet home.

My chain of thoughts was broken by Farah, who had to discuss about the presentation. We assured and encouraged each other, wishing best of luck and held out breaths before entering the conference hall. I walked in to look at Amirah clad in her crimson pink Abaya, and coffee coloured hijab. She looked so graceful, and so were her teammates.

Meerab had directly come to the meeting as decided. She was seated besides Amirah, least interested in the convo. Farah took a seat opposite to Meerab and I besides Farah. The meeting began with Amirah's presentation, and i must say she was so flawless,just perfect pronounciation, accent and powerful aura, No one could resist themselves from honouring her with a huge round of applause. It was my turn then and I did it well, gladly. I could see Meerab and Farah giving me thumbs up and proudish cheeky smile.
And after an hour or so, the meeting finally did end and we were partners now. I couldn't believe our company working with Amirah's. We stood up and greeted each other a good bye, but Amirah specially waved a bye for Meerab with a flying kiss and even did a hand shake. I didn't know Meerab could built such a deep relationship with someone in the first meet, it was suspicious.

"I'm on the ninth cloud, dancing with the wind,and playing with the rain drops." I said acting dramatic and making a rhythm to which Meerab scrunched her nose in return. She looked so tired but why?

"Khaani, what happened? You look so strange?" Inquired Farah.

"Not tired, I'm frustrated, What does she think of herself?"

"Who?"

"That, Amirah!"

"What happened now Khaani, you were happy with this deal no?"

"I am, I am Happy Farah," Meerab was speaking with actions and when she does that it means she's stating facts.

" You know what, She asked me my personal number, invaded my personal space by hugging after the deal was finalized, and not to forget she greeted me a special good bye, urghhh! The more I want to run away from her, the more she comes closer, doesn't she care for her self respect, duh? " Explained Meerab with wide open eyes and mouth. So that was the issue, not really serious but Meerab & I are not fan of physical intimacies especially with the people we don't even know. It's common actually, people being very touchy these days, Disgusting!

"It's okay, Khaani! Let it be, We aren't gonna meet her again for atleast one year, good riddance." Joked Farah. And Meerab smiled a bit but I could sense something fishy going on in her mind. Okay, I'm not that good at mind reading but everyone has some basic skills. However, the question is straight, What's brewing between Amirah & Meerab Khan?
