8. Training

I feel six pairs of eyes follow me as I disappear around the corner. I smirk and make my way to the training room.
It's been a while since I've been able to train. I know I'm going to be rusty. But I feel anticipation feel my veins as I come to the training room. I remove my shoes as I step onto the mat. I take a deep breath and begin a warm up that Master Yoda taught me. After about thirty minutes a fine sheen of sweat coats my body . I push my hair out of my way as I go and grab some water.
pausing when the door swishes open to reveal Hunter. I smirk at him.
" Wanna spar?" I ask in challenge
He looks at me and crosses his arms alittle to cocky for my taste.
" You won't be able to take me." He states confidently. I smile at that and say
" Care to make a wager Sergent?"
He smiles at that and says " What kind of wager?"
I smile mischievously at him being so naive. This is going to be fun

******Several matches later******
I slam Hunter to the mat....again. He groans in defeat and refuses to get up. I place my hands on my hips and smile down at him.
" I thought you had enhanced senses?" I tease him
He slowly sits up , placing his arms on his knees taking in several deep breaths.
" I do , but apparently I'm no match for a former Jedi master."

He chuckles as he rubs his sore ribs. I sit down beside him and wince when I feel my milk being let down. ( yes this really does happen when it's time to feed babies . And if you don't hurry and feed them quickly the milk will leak through your shirt)

I rub my neck and quickly stand . " thank you for the sparring match , but it's time to feed my little ones."

His eyes soften at the mention of Rory and Cass.
" Of course anytime." He follows me to mess hall to find utter chaos.

Cass and Rory are screaming their little heads off. Wrecker looks near tears, Cross has put on dampeners ( earbuds) to block out the noise. Echo is trying to distract the twins, Omega is rocking Cass while Tech is patting Rory's back.

" what in the great moons is going on?" Asks Hunter. Everyone freezes and I step towards the twins and proceed to grab Rory . I place a blanket over my shoulder for privacy and let her nurse. Then have Omega place Cass tucked under my arm his feet towards my back and the top of his head facing out. I sling another blanket over my other side and let him nurse as well. I sigh when the quiet ensures. I look up to see shocked faces.
" What?"

" you just bared your...." Starts Tech

" No I didn't ." I argue back

" but you technically did." Says Echo.

" did you see any part of my naked anatomy?" I ask
They all blush and look away.

" Tech why don't you start take off procedures . Wrecker go make sure everything is tied down in the cargo hold. Hunter I want you to go to the cockpit and prepare for takeoff. Omega I want you to watch after the little ones while I show the others how to fly the Reaper. Cross go familiarize yourself with the weapons." I feel Rory pull away and begin to coo. I know I need to burp her .
" Hunter come here for a moment."
He stays behind while every one else goes . I look at him and say
" look I need help burping Rory . "

I pull the burp blanket down revealing my breast and a content Rory. He blushes as he reaches for her not taking his eyes off her for a moment. He picks her up and places her on his shoulder and begins to pat her back without any kind of prompting.

I quickly place my breast back in my covering and cover my self . I feel Cass detach and I sigh in relief at the feeling of less pressure in my aching breast.

I leave him covered and slip my breast back in to the covering slipping my shirt back up my shoulder. I look up to see Hunter pacing with Rory , who is still patting her back.

I chuckle at his shocked face.

" did that really just come out of her?" He ask incredulously

I laugh at that as I bring Cassian up to my shoulder and begin the process with him.
" Surprisingly yes. She's tiny but mighty."
He chuckles at that.
The next time I look up he's sat down with her on his chest , both asleep.
My heart flutters at the image of this strong man looking so vulnerable with my daughter on his chest.
He's so handsome.
I freeze as that thought crosses my mind.

No. I'm not going to do this again. The last time I went down this path , it lead to heartache. I refuse to acknowledge it. I don't have feelings for Hunter.
But as I look at him I know I'm just fooling myself.
****BURP****
I chuckle at Cass' belch. Oh what a life I lead now.

I have two beautiful children. Six amazing friends, one of which I believe is very special to me. I'm a princess in a far, far away galaxy that is a trained Jedi healer who is on the run from a bounty hunter who is getting closer and closer every day to getting me.

I sigh as I place Cassian in the play pen to nap . Then gently pick up Rory and place her next to her brother. I look down at them and sigh at the amount of trouble I'm in.

" Stop worrying. We'll figure this out."
I look up at the deep, looking sleep filled voice . Hunter is watching me. His brown eyes taking in every thing.

" this is my mess and I'm beginning to regret dragging you all into it."
He stands and walks towards me.

" Well tough Jawa aft. We're here and we aren't going any where." He pulls me into his embrace I sigh at the contact. I've gone so long without human contact I've almost forgotten what it feels like to be held.
" Hunter... I don't expect you....." I look up and freeze when I realize how close we are. He gently cups my face , looking at my lips then back up to my eyes. Silently asking for permission. I lick my lips and lean towards him.

He takes that as permission leaning down nearly touch my lips.
I feel his breath float across my dry lips . I close my eyes and wait for him to kiss me. Then open my eyes when I hear twin wails of anger. We jump apart and I go to my babies and he leaves the room altogether.
Ugh.... Kids.
