21. Remembrance

Memories flash across my eyes ........
"My name is Zara Stormchaser. "

"I'm a healer."

" well I would like to at least know your names.

" You're the Bad Batch."

BEGONE FROM HERE!"

" You remind me of a friend of mine that I had when I was a general in the clone wars. His name was Fives.
His eyes widen at this revelation.
" Your a Jedi?"
I smile sadly at him .
" Yes, I suppose ."
" What are you doing on this planet?"
I place a hand on my stomach and he looks down to see my  slightly swollen stomach.
" Making sure my child isn't killed because of my mistakes."

" Crosshairs? Did you hurt yourself in the crash?"

" ok crosshairs let's have a look at that arm. "

He looks at me like I've gone mad. I roll my eyes at his stubbornness.

" We can do this the easy way, where you cooperate with me. Or the hard way where I use the force to hold you down and figure out what's wrong with your arm. Your choice."

" What in the two moons happened to you three?" I ask around giggles.

" Your ship is fixed . I think after you and Cross heal you should be good to go."

" You really care about her don't you?"

I nod my head and do something I haven't done in so long . I put one of my hands on his shoulders and the other behind his neck. I gently bring him down and we touch foreheads.
" Aliit ori'shya tal'din" 

I say to him. I pull away and I can see shock on his face as well as the others.

"I was taught Mando'a by my squad during the war." I chuckle at them.

" Now go on before your clunker of a ship gives out on you!" 

They all come and give me goodbyes . But Omega looks at me and says " You know, I've never seen them react that way."

I bend down to her and whisper " That's because they probably haven't heard that particular saying in a long time."
She looks back at them and then back at me.

" What does it mean?" I look back at the others and catch Hunter watching us.
" Family is more than Blood."

" Hunter , I'm cashing in on that debt you owe me."

"Zara what's wrong?" Asks Echo
I look up at them and see fear in there eyes. I chuckle as I put my hands on my knees.

" They are coming. Tech please tell me you had time to research child birth?"  He fixes his glasses and is about to go off on a rabble when I walk up to him and slap a hand over his mouth.

" No time for rabblings . Yes or no?"
" yes I did. But ... it's to early your at least eight weeks away from your due date."
" TELL THAT TO THEM!" I scream as a another contraction hits.

" You want me to Catch the babies? I'd rather not...." He says
I grab his shirt and bring him nose to nose with me.
" I don't care what you want at this moment and time. I will make sure you never use the thing between your legs again if you don't do as I say. I am past the point to deal with your sarcastic comments ...do you understand?" I grit through my teeth. His eyes widen and then I see something change in his eyes. Understanding.

" My name is Princess Zaraline Grace Galechase.

" Master Kenobi. It's good to see you."

" Care to make a wager Sergent?"

" My friend you did not tell us you were leaving." He states

" I am sorry my friend. But a bounty hunter is after me and my children. "

He looks around me and see's Hunter carrying Cassian and Cross carrying Rory.

" are they the fathers?" He asks innocently.

I look over my shoulder at the two men. I shrug as I bend down.

" They might as well be."
He stares at me for a moment.

" I would like to bless them before you leave my friend. For all you have done for my people." I nod at him.

" Cross.., Hunter could you bring them over here for a moment?"

They look at each other and comes towards us.

" Bend down gently. The chieftain wishes to bless the children."

" I, Kreegraat chieftain of the Ewoks bless these children and males of our dear friend Princess Zaralina."

He reaches into his pouch at his hip and mashes some kind of blue herb in his hand. He smears it onto Hunters right cheek , then Crosshairs left cheek. Then he reaches for my hand and I'm placed infront of them. He then smears the herb onto my forehead .

" you males haven proven to protect Zaralina. You Hunter shall be her protector from the right and greatest confidant as well as her lover. You Crosshairs shall be her stoic protector from the left . You shall cherish her for she is more precious than the rarest jewel. Do you promise to love her? Protect her , provide for her?"  

I look at them and clear my throat and translate because I can see their confusion

" He wants to know how if you promise to protect me and the children. Wanting to make sure that as long as we are with you , that you will help provide and take care of me and the children."

" Of course we shall." Hunter states
" For as long as you need us." Seconds Cross. I smile at them and turn back to the chief.

Waking with a gasp I look around to see that I'm in the medical bay. 

I look down when I feel a weight on either side of me.
A hand is clutching each of mine.
To my right is Hunter , his head pillowed on his arms, his right hand clutching mine. I turn to look at Crosshairs and he's in a chair feet kicked up on my bed his right hand gently grasping mine. I smile at them as I remember each and everything.

I slowly remove my hand from theirs and maneuver off the bed without waking either of them.

I pad out of medical and down the hallway  hoping to find my little ones.
It'd only been a few months since I was gone but as I come around the corner to find Omega and Echo on the floor with Cass and Rory , I stop and am shocked by how big they had gotten.

I gasp as I see Cass roll over onto his stomach . Omega and Echo look up at the sound to see me standing there.
" ZARA!"
Echo says shocked
I smile at him and move towards my babies. When Cass see's me he just stares for a few moments unsure , but when Rory see's me she squeals in delight.
And says mama.

Tears stream down my face as I collapse to the floor  in a boneless heap of happiness.

Echo and Omega bring my babies to me and I just hold them as I cry into their soft baby hair.
