April 10th, 1912- 12:03pm

My family and I emerged from the grand staircase and looked around at the crowds waving to people at the dock. All four of us walked over to a spot with no one at it and waved goodbye. Right next to me there was a boy leaning over the railing. It was the same guy that had bumped into me.

"We don't even know anyone!" Yelled his friend.

The boy laughed: "I know, and I don't care!" He looked back at the crowd. "Bye, Bastards!"

I smiled to myself. Before I had a chance to talk to him, he ran away again. I stared as he ran to the Bow of the and climbed on the rail. "I'm the King of the World!" He screamed. I giggled. My family and I kept waving to the people at the dock, even though we didn't know anyone there. Finally, my father said: "Ok girls, the sun sets in the West- which would be near the bow. Let's go." We walked up to where the boy was. Out of respect, we stood behind the two men- after about 2 minutes, the one that bumped into me noticed us and started to leave. "Fabrizio, wait!" He stopped in front of me.

"Hey, uh- I bumped into you earlier," he signaled to the dock. "I never really got to stop and apologize, so, I'm sorry."

I felt superior compared to this man. "Oh, it's alright. I'm OK." I grinned.

"I'm Jack. Jack Dawson."

"y/n y/l/n." I replied.

Jack Dawson. What a unique name.

"Well I trust I will be seeing you again, m'lady?" Jack joked.

I giggled: "Maybe!"

Fabrizio pulled him away. Jack looked back before running off again.

I walked up to the very front of the bow. The ship was barely on it's way, and since it was only noon, the view wasn't very impressive. Still, they called it "The Ship of Dreams" for a reason, and I wasn't going to argue with it. I was enjoying the ocean when Delaney walked up to me.

"Y/n who was that boy? Was it your boyfriend?" She teased.

"No, Delaney. I've only just met him. Please calm down." I tried to reply sternly. It didn't work.

Father also approached me, talking about Jack.

"That boy seems trustworthy. You should get to know him."

"Oh, Chandler. Trustworthy?" My mother smirked. She turned to me. "You preferably need a man with money."

"Mother, don't get too ahead of yourself. It was only a minute long conversation." I said.

I looked back to the water, thinking to myself. Maybe we would be able to get to know each other on this trip.

As the afternoon went on, I kept my eye out for Jack. My family continued to walk around the deck and discover the features of the ship. We walked past many first class passengers, smiling pleasantly with privilege. I had never desired money or riches, but my mother had wanted to start a legacy since she was young. I didn't know anything about Jack, however, I could definitely make assumptions.

My family went back to our stateroom to get ready for the evening.
