April 13th, 1912- 8:22pm

Jack and I walked into a large, low-ceiling room. He had taken off his suit and changed back into his usual outfit, which consisted of a collard shirt, suspenders, and plain brown pants. There were people drinking, yelling, laughing, dancing, singing, and clapping. It seemed like much more fun than the 1st class party. While I was taking in everything, Jack had started dancing with a young girl; about seven or eight years old- It was one of the cutest things I had ever seen.

After a few minutes, Jack stopped dancing with the little girl and came to me. "Take that off, you can't breath." He said, nodding to the corset under my bodice. I gave it no second thought. He stood behind me and helped unlace the corset, very confused on what he was supposed to do. After he got it off, I threw it up the stairs. Jack held my hand, guiding me into the audience of people. "Don't worry Cora, you're still my main girl!" Jack shouted to the little girl. She smiled and ran to her parents.

"Now, follow me." Jack put his hand around my waist.

"W- what?"

The music gave a boost and couples around the room started dancing in circles. Jack and I followed, with no clue what we were doing.

"I don't know the moves!" I yelled, laughing.

"Me neither!"

We continued to dance and hop around the room, many people began staring at the only girl wearing a fancy dress. I didn't care. Jack and I kept laughing, smiling, and staring lovingly at each other.

It felt like time had stopped. I was having the most fun of my life, galloping around the room with Jack. The music, which included bagpipes, accordions, and violins- made the dance that much more fun.

Jack and I got pulled onto a large table by the other people. Jack started clogging, then waited for me to copy him. I took off my heels and, to his surprise, did the exact same dance he did. Jack made the jig harder and harder every time, as to try and confuse me. Still, I copied perfectly every single time. Luckily, I was a tap dancer when I was younger. It wouldn't be easy otherwise. The music continued, and we held hands and spun around.

"This is amazing!" I yelled over the audience.

"I know, right!" He agreed.

We stopped dancing for a little so Jack could get a drink. He came back and took a sip, but I took the glass from him and drank half of it. He stood in awe. "What, like a girl can't drink?" I said. He laughed and we continued to dance hand in hand. I was pinning my dress up to my stomach with my free hand, so I wouldn't trip. Jack took the dress from my hand and held it himself.

The party continued for hours. It was one of the best night of my life, and I couldn't wait for many more with Jack.

At midnight, people started leaving the room. Jack and I went back to the stateroom, laughing loudly and tripping over ourselves.

I went to sleep with a big smile.
