April 12th, 1912- 10:03am

Breakfast the next morning was more than enjoyable. Jack told my family about his past, his art, and how his parents died. After hearing everything, my parents took him under their wing. He spent most of his time with either us or Fabrizio, and my parents knew we wanted to get closer someday.

Although it wasn't his forte, Jack began to draw pictures of the ocean for me. He was such a sweetheart. We sat together on my bed as he drew and talked to me for hours at a time.

"Y'know, there's a reason I don't draw landscapes." He showed me his drawing of a beach. The sand had tiny dots and there was sea foam near the sand bar. I thought it was beautiful, but Jack clearly wasn't convinced.

"Well I think it's amazing."

"You don't have to lie to me" He blushed harder than I had seen before.

"Ok, then I hate it!"

"Wait, what?"

"I'm just kidding, you're so stupid!"

Jack laughed and continued to draw. Watching the way he lightly drew on the paper was almost mesmerizing.

We stayed in the stateroom the whole day. It was quite comfortable staying in a nightgown with my hair free all day.

Delaney tried her best to stay out of our room all day- she truly was the best sister- but when she was here, she was talking to Jack and asking him questions. As expected, Jack was very sweet to her, and I wasn't complaining.

"Do you like the color blue? It's my favorite!"

"Yes indeed I do."

"Seriously???" Delaney was getting more and more excited by the second.

"Yep!"

"Are you married to y/n yet?"

"Maybe someday." He said, looking at me.

For several minutes Jack kept his cool while Delaney was climbing all over him. I laughed throughout the whole thing. Finally, when she left, Jack and I went back to our usual "young adult" conversations. We both got lost in the moment, as if nothing else existed. It was one of the best feelings in the world. We decided to get out of the room for a while and take a walk on the top deck, and I didn't bother changing my clothes. We walked around the deck about six times, and the seventh  time, we walked over to the stern.

"I love the ocean."

"I've heard." Jack grinned.

I giggled: "Have I really talked about it that much?

"No," He tried to hide his smile. "I've just... noticed."

All of the sudden, a man in a black suit walked up to us. Neither of us knew him.

"Well, well, well. A bit selfish that a rich young woman like you not dress for the afternoon." The snarky comment made me feel uncomfortable. Jack could tell.

"Rich? I- I'm not-"

Jack cut me off and walked straight up to the man.

"A bit selfish you think you can control what y/n does! Get out of here!"

"Excuse me? I'm going to report this to the crew."

The man started walking away, but Jack shouted after him: "Go ahead then, my ticket isn't even my real name! My real name is Jack Dawson!" he looked back at the ocean, laughing at his comeback, and then realized what he had just done.

"Oh."

It was silent for a second before we both started laughing.

Jack was invited to dinner for the rest of the time on the ship.
