April 15th, 1912- 1:20am

The R.M.S. Titanic had begun to sink.

I was rushing through the crowds of worried people, trying to find Jack. I assumed he was somewhere below deck, so I had to muster up the courage to go through the water and find him.

I ran through the entirety of the first class deck, feeling out of place compared to the fancy passengers running the opposite way. I couldn't find Jack.

I ran through the dining rooms and kitchen. I ran through the second class staterooms, checking mine just in case. I quickly grabbed the drawing Jack had made me on the first day, even though I knew both of us would survive. I ran through the gymnasium, near the pool, even into the boiler rooms- but I couldn't find him.

The last place I checked were the 3rd class staterooms. As I got down the last few stairs, I stepped into the freezing water. It felt like pins had been stabbed into my entire body. My eyes started to tear up as I was losing hope, but I continued to push through the water. I knew Jack was a 3rd class passenger, so started calling his name. It took 10 minutes before I heard his voice.

"Jack! Jack, please!"

"Y- y/n! I'm in here!"

"Jack!"

It took me a minute to find the room he was in, but when I did, I found him cuffed to a pipe standing on a floating dresser.

"Y/n, you're gonna have to get me out! Try to find something to cut the handcuffs!"

I didn't want to leave Jack, but it was up to me to save him. the water was up to my waist and the lights were starting to flicker. After a brief moment where all of the lights went out, I noticed an axe on the wall. I smashed the glass covering it and rushed as fast as I could back to Jack's room.

When I got there, Jack told me to practice swinging the axe on a wardrobe. I was supposed to hit the same spot twice, but I couldn't- Jack told me to cut the handcuffs anyway. With one hit the cuffs split into two and we were on our way to a lifeboat. Jack stepped into the water for the first time.

"Holy shit, this water is freezing!"

"I know, Jack. We just have to push through."

We ran past the falling cups and plates and pushed through to the very top of the tilting ship. Only two lifeboats remained onboard and hundreds of people were rushing to get in them. A steward nearby gave my a lifebelt, but not Jack.

"Do you want this?" I shouted to Jack, holding up my lifebelt.

"No. You need to put it on, you hear me?"

I had never heard Jack so stern. I immediately slid it over my head.

Jack and I got separated by the many crowds passing by. I didn't know where he went, and I began to panic. Tears filled my eyes again as I screamed for Jack.

"Jack! Jack!" No response.

I broke down and slumped by a wall. The bustling of people and the clicking of heels drowned out my crying.

"Jack... please..."

Jack somehow made his way back to me pulled me up.

"Hey, hey... it's ok. We're going to be alright." He looked me in the eyes and tucked my hair behind my ear.

"Ok. Now. We're going to go the the highest part of the ship and wait until it sinks. Follow me."

We ran to the top of the ship just as it split in two. I tried to stop and watch it break, but Jack continued running.
