Chapter Five| Destiny

The game was amazing, so violent though. During one of the plays, one of the linemen for the other team tackled Trev into the sideline. Causing the entire O-line to start getting in their faces, causing flags to be thrown and everything. I don't blame them either, because it was a super hard hit. But, Trev just got up and walked it off like it was nothing.

But, overall 10/10 game, the score was 23-16.

We then came home and Jayda and I packed our stuff up because our flight is early tomorrow morning.

Trev comes a little bit later because he had post-game interviews.

When he walked in, we were all hanging around the living room.

"There he is," Diana said.

"You played good, son," Dan spoke up. "You better go ice that body because that hit you took was crazy."

Trev sat down next to me.

"No, seriously. Like the whistle blew, and the linebacker came out of nowhere," my brother spoke.

"I know, I got the wind knocked out of me," Trev laughed.

"But, you got up quick as hell. I was surprised." I said.

Deeper into the night, everyone slowly made their way into their rooms. Except for Trev and I, he had gone up to his room to change before coming back down. Dressed in only black sweatpants.

"So," He plops onto the couch. "You've finally watched one of the games in person, what do you think?"

"Well, aside from you getting manhandled, I enjoyed it." I shrugged my shoulders.

"Yeah?"

I nod my head.

"Good, now you need to come to a couple more of them and I'll be satisfied."

"Well see, you know I am a busy woman. Can't be wasting my time out here with you."

He laughs, "Yeah yeah, you know you like spending time with me."

"Even if I did. I would never admit it."

...

Finally, Jayda and I are back home. I don't have a class until later in the evening. So, I decided to unpack my clothes and take a needed shower.

Surprisingly the day moved faster than I expected. It was already time for me to head to class, I also get to see my boyfriend. This was the class he needed extra help in, so he is probably going to be there early.

I walk into the large classroom and take my seat in the corner of the room. Like I always do, out sight and out of mind, it helps me focus more knowing the teacher isn't on my ass.

I take a look around the classroom and I don't notice Brandon yet. Before the class starts, the teacher's aid hands back our papers that were done last weekend. Of course, another A+ is handed back to me.

"Have you seen Brandon?" I asked the teacher's aid.

"No, isn't he always late?" she said back to me.

"Yeah, I thought he would be here early since he is a part of your tutoring group."

She looks at me confused, "Brandon isn't a part of my tutoring group."

I'm sorry, what?

"You sure, he told me. He had to be here all weekend to catch up on some work to help his grades."
