Chapter Forty-One| Trevor
One Month Later
"Bengals fans, let's welcome your 2022 Super Bowl Champions, the Cincinnati Bengals," the announcer spoke as the crowd screamed and cheered. The boys and I ran out in rows onto our home field.
It's good to be back. And with my woman by my side.
Just as I make it to the sidelines, Destiny stands there with some of the other girlfriends/wives of the other players. In a sexy-ass yellow sundress on this late September afternoon. Casually showing off all of her curves, now as her man, I don't give a fuck if she shows off her body. But, if any motherfucker in this stadium even looks crazy. I'll gladly lose my career for beating the fuck out of a fan in the crowd.
"Hey baby," kissing her in front of everybody, before I could stick my tongue down her throat, she pushed me away.
"Hey," she spoke with her sexy smirk. "Good luck out there."
Fuck, she lucking I gotta play right now or I'll take her back to the car and handle all of that.

Easy dub against the Steelers to start the season.
"Ayo, Walker," one of the lines called out. "You tryna come out with us to celebrate the win?"
I wave him and the other guys off trying to convince me to come party with them. I'm not really up for it, just wanna go back home and spend some time with my lady. "Naw, man."
They asked Chris too, but he turned them down as well. "Since when y'all turned into family men? Lame asses."
Chris spoke up, "Y'all could drink y'all way into kidney failure. We living life ova here."
They all kissed their teeth. Chris and I turned to each other laughing. "Bout to spend some time with ya girl?" he asked.
"Already know," I exclaimed.
After taking a quick shower and going through all of the media questions, I'm finally back in the presence of my woman. She sitting at the bar with some other girls, giggling her life away. Maybe I left her for a little too long, I can already tell from afar that she's a lil tipsy.
I approached her, "Hey baby," lightly kissing her forehead.
She smiled brightly, throwing her hands in the air, "Heyyyy, you won, I'm so proud of you." She spoke a little loudly, wrapping her arms around my neck. "You were killing them, but they kept throwing flags against y'all. I never understand the penalties. But, overall you did good...no you did great."
I chuckle as she rambles on. "Nini..."
"Yesss..."
"How many drinks have you had?"
She taps her index finger to her lip. "Well, every time you made a touchdown, I took a shot, so about six of those. Then, while I was sitting here with the girls like two martinis...nothing crazy."
yeah, okay...
"Okay, baby, it's time for us to go home now."
She hops up out of her seat, surprisingly holding her balance. We say goodbye to her friends before heading out of the stadium. The September summer is over and now the autumn September has begun, with this chilly night breeze. I take one of my practice sweaters from my duffel bag and place it on Nini's shoulders as we walk to the car.
Opening the passenger door of my low Porshe for her to get in, closing it behind her. Opening the trunk, putting my bag in, and grabbing a Gatorade for Nini. Twisting the cap and handing it for her to drink before starting the car.

Destiny
After destroying the large bottle of Gatorade, I completely sobered up and now have to pee exceptionally badly. But Trevor decided to 7-eleven to pick up some snacks for us. So, now I sit here in the parking lot, about to piss myself off with a phone I just discovered was dead.
Cursing myself knowing I can't hold it any longer, exiting the car. Praying that the door automatically locks or something. Doing the crazy 'pee-pee' dance into the store, searching through the aisles for Trevor. Finally found him in the aisle farthest from the entrance of the store, where the slushie machine is.
He looks up from the two large slushie cups in his hands, "I thought you didn't want to get out of the car?"
"I didn't until I was about to pee on myself," pinching my thighs together. Turning the corner, skipping off to the bathroom.
For a 7/11 bathroom, it is actually quite clean. That wasn't gonna stop me from squatting over the toilet, instead of sitting down. After finally relieving myself and washing my hands, I exit the bathroom. Just as I expected, Trevor waiting right outside the door for me. Still holding my slushie for me, I try to wiggle off the remaining water droplets on my hands since there were no paper towels.
He mentioned to me how he paid for everything before I went to use the bathroom, as we walk out of the store. The car was still parked and not stolen as I hoped. Just as I take a step off the curb, my name is spoken in the wind. "Destiny..."
Whipping my head around, as a face appeared out of the darkness, from the side of the store. My eyes widen in shock, stuck in the frame of my own body, "...dad"
Trying to blink the shock away from my body, Trevor comes from the other side of the car to shield me from my estranged father. "Don't come any closer," he spoke up.
The shadow of a man spoke out, "Please, just let me explain."
