Chapter Nineteen| Destiny

"Jayda, come on, the car is outside," I scold Jayda for her lateness.

I know Trev wanted me to come to his game. But, I didn't know he was this serious. There was a knock on my door at eight a.m., a delivery man. Delivering two tickets and two passes to the field. And he also delivered me a box with his jersey in it.

With specific instructions to wear it to his game. And I am, I threw a heavy hoodie on under the jersey because it is supposed to be snowing today. With dark blue jeans and black shiny heel boots.

"I'm coming, I couldn't find my lip gloss," she rushes out the door.

Downstairs in front of our apartment building is a black escalade truck, to take us to the game. I decided to text Trev and tell him I was on my way and good luck since he would probably be warming up by the time I get there.

He texted back, 'thank you and he couldn't wait to see me.'

Surprisingly, the drive wasn't crazy, I thought there would be some traffic because Baltimore goes crazy for some football. They don't play about their Ravens, honey.

The driver said helping us out of the car.

"Thank you for driving us," I said to the driver.

"No problem, enjoy the game," he responded.

We walked through security and made it to our seats, the teams are warming up on opposite sides of the fields. I spot him in the middle of the field, with his headphones on.

Sadly, the stadium is an open stadium, so it is snowing here. But they are selling blankets and hot chocolate so I'm going to stick it out. Our seats are front row too, it's like we are basically on the field. The players quickly went back to the locker room, before the game started.

"Damn, almost burnt my tongue with this hot chocolate," Jayda said.

I laugh at her, then I take a sip of mine. And I almost burnt my tongue too.

"To busy laughing at me, you done did it to yourself," she giggles.

"Alright, not too much on me," I laugh.

The game finally starts.

...

And what an exciting game that was, like I was literally shaking the whole time. And it was not because of the chaotic weather. It was an exciting game, definitely a once-in-a-lifetime kind of game. I couldn't even sit in my seat, considering it wasn't a home game. We were among many upset Raven fans, we couldn't contain our laughter when we scored touchdowns.

I watch as he celebrates with his boys and reporters surround him. When he looks over to where I am sitting, I smile. He looks around for quite a bit trying to spot me out of the crowd. He finally locked eyes with me, after finishing his interview.

B-lining towards me, I lean over the railing. When he came over to greet me.

"Congratulations," I say.

"Thanks, baby," he leans up and kisses me.

"Aww," Jayda said.

I roll my eyes at her.

"I gotta go, wait for me after," he asked.

"Okay."

He placed another kiss on my lips before leaving. When we broke apart is when I noticed all of the cameras and eyes around us. I hate stares, it makes me feel very awkward.
