My heart never said goodbye.

Chapter 3- distance won't tear us apart.

It's the last week of school and Pierce and I are sitting on the usual steps we sit on and talk.

"So high school huh?" I say sighing.
"Yeah, a whole different era for us. We back to being the small kids." Pierce says with a frown.
"So what school did you apply to?" I asked.
"Dad put me in Northway, how about you?" Pierce asked with a confused look on his face.
"Damn, that's far from me...I guess we barely going to see each other. I'm going to Fairvelt."

We both sigh then sit there in silence. All you could hear was the kids screaming and laughing. I never understood the excitement, especially because we'd all be leaving our friends behind and we had to just move on.

Pierce looks at me with a smile.
"Levine, promise me one thing." Pierce says with his eyes sparkling.
I look at him confused and say "Yeah what's up?"
"Promise me we going to meet up as much as we can and stay best friends!" He screams
"Forever" I say smiling at him with hope in my eyes.

Little did I know that unlike the title of this chapter distance was going to tear us apart....
