NARRATOR'S POV

The free period Poppy had flown by but that's what happens when you get stuck in a good book. By now it was the middle of lunch, Poppy wasn't really hungry after her big breakfast so she didn't notice the time that had gone by.

The library was completely silent, except for the consistent ticking of the large clock above the librarian's station. Poppy paid little attention to the loud creak of the doors as someone walked in, she was tucked away on a table in the far corner. 

Walking up behind her Jasper puts his hand on her shoulder while saying, "There you are!"

Poppy almost jumped from her skin as she dropped her book against the table causing a large thud, "You bast-barstool! You barstool!" She shouted and was then promptly hushed by the librarian.

Jasper giggled, "Sorry." He sheepishly muttered, "I thought we were meant to eat lunch together since you know it's things couples do." He gestured between them both.

"Yeah sorry I didn't realise the time." Poppy said.

Jasper pulled out the seat beside her and sat down, "I thought you were avoiding me." Leaning his back against the wall and using the table and chair back as armrests he continues, "What are you reading?"

Reaching over the table Poppy quickly pulls back the book, "Nothing!" She shouted in a panic.

"Well if it's nothing then you wouldn't mind me seeing." Quickly he reached forward and grabbed the book from Poppy, in the process the fake cover sides off revealing the book underneath. 

"What the fuck?" He laughs as he stares down at the cover of Ice Planet Barbarians. 

Poppy lunged forward to get the book but Jasper put up his leg and blocked her from reaching any further, he opens the bookmarked page and begins to mutter as he reads, "Don't read that Jasper!" Poppy orders. 

Jasper laughs more as continues down the page, standing up Poppy had enough but Jasper was quick to his feet as well hold the book above her reach as he carried on reading. Poppy jumped trying to get the book as Jasper said, "Damn didn't think you would be into this Conway." 

Lowing the book Poppy snatched it off him and stared at him with a stern look.  Picking up the fake cover from the table she placed it back over the book and put it in her backpack, securely zipping it up. 

"I am going to kill you," Poppy told him. 

Gulping Jasper walked around her before taking off, "NOT IF YOU CAN'T CATCH ME!" He shouted back at her. 

Smiling she hurriedly took after him, chasing him through the library. 

"NO RUNNING!" The librarian shouted at the pair as they ran between the shelves, "Guess I'm giving them both a detention for Friday then." She muttered beneath her breath, rolling her eyes before walking over to the computer.

Jasper and Poppy circled to the table for a few moments out of breath before Poppy's eyes widened and she stopped. She stood up straight and just walked away back to the table.

"Poppy," Jasper called out after her to no avail Poppy didn't turn around to even spare him a glance, "I'm sorry." He wined.
