Todoroki's POV:

After I finished eating, I did the dishes and put them all away. They weren't all mine, but I didn't really mind. Bakugo sat nearby, his leg bouncing and his body trembling a bit.

"Hey, Bakugo."

"Hm?" He looked up. A few seconds of silence passed as I contemplated my words.

"Are you..."

He won't answer that honestly

I know what's going on

Best to just distract him

"Do you wanna go walk around for a bit?"

"Oh, yeah sure." He got up and put his phone in his pocket.

"Sure you don't want to get a snack before we go?"

"It's okay, I'm not hungry right now."

Something wasn't right. He seemed uneasy and on edge.

"Are you okay?" I asked. I didn't expect a real answer, but I needed to ask.

"Oh, uh... yeah I'm ok."

"You're shaking a lot."

"It's nothing serious." He looked away and changed the topic, like it had reminded him of somethint. "Hey, tomorrow I may not be here for a few hours or so. Will you be okay?"

I didn't expect this.

I need him here

"Where are you going?" I asked out of curiosity.

"To visit my cousin. I haven't seen him in a long time."

"Oh. Okay, I should be okay."

"Are you sure? I know there's a lot going on right now."

"I... Yeah... I'll be fine..."

But I don't wanna get in his way

And if something bad happens, he doesn't have to know

"Why don't you just come with me?" He said, sensing my anxiety. I hesitated.

"Oh, I dunno. I'd just be a liability."

"No you wouldn't. You're coming with me. It's only an hour drive, and I won't be inside for very long. You can even sleep in the car, I don't care."

"Do you even have a car?"

"I have a license."

"But do you have a car?"

"I'll just borrow Kirishima's. I texted him already, he said it's fine."

"Okay, fine I'll go."

"Okay, good. I don't want you to have to be here by yourself through all this. I'm sorry."

"It's okay, don't worry. I'm okay."

He looked up suddenly, catching me off guard.

"Really? Are you?"
