6. Separated

One moment Izuku was forcing Iida out of the USJ. The next he was free falling over a body of water. He could tell he was still in the USJ, but he was separated from everyone. Seeing how high he was, he crossed his arms into an X and kept his legs together.

When he hit the water, he was completely disoriented. But he felt something wrap around him and pull him out of the water. When he was familiar with his surroundings, he saw that he was on a boat with two classmates.

"Are you alright?" Katara asked.

"I'm fine" Izuku said getting up to observe his surroundings.

"You shouldn't get up so fast, kero" Tsu spoke

"I said I'm fine" Izuku repeated as he looked for a way off the boat.

"How do we get out of here?" Katara asked getting a shrug from Tsu. "Maybe we should tell each other about quirks"

"Good idea. Mine is frog. It's pretty straight forward. I can do anything a frog can." Tsu explained.

"Mine is waterbending. I can bend the water to my will. But it's not that strong" Katara explained looking a bit down.

"Are you strong enough to make a whirlpool?" Izuku asked quitely as he stared at the villains in the water.

"I think so. I've never done anything on that level." Katara said as she stood up, stepping over to Izuku's side. After seeing how many villains were in the water, she completely froze. Izuku looked over to see her completely frozen. He was going to ignore it, but something forced him to speak up.

"Come on Deku. How are you going to even become a hero if you keep freezing all the time" a younger bakugo asked as he pushed Izuku to the ground. "Let's go guys" he said leaving izuku alone on the ground with tears going down his cheeks.

"Are you alright young boy?" An older man with a long gray hair and beard and round belly asked as he approached the boy.

"They were making fun of me because I got scared and froze up on the monkey bars" a young izuku explained.

"I see. You got scared while trying something new. Do not worry. It is natural to freeze up like that. But you must have the courage to get up and finish it. How about this. If you succeed, I have this" the man did a magic trick of pulling out 100 yen coin. "What do you say?" The young izuku just gave him a nod and a smile.

"Its ok to freeze up and be scared. But, you got to have the courage to get up and succeed. Wether it be just to try something new or to save someone" Izuku spoke getting Katara's attention. She stared at him as he stared at the villains in the water.

"Alright, I'll try" Katara backed up a bit and closed her eyes. She slowly moved her arms in a circular motion. Both Izuku and tsu watched over the railing to see the water to slowly move and form a whirlpool.

"How far can you jump?" Izuku asked. Tsu looked back to see how far they were from land.

"I won't make. But if the whirlpool keeps them busy, I can swim the rest to shore." Tsu explained getting a nod from Izuku. They looked back at the water to see a small whirlpool. But Katara lowered her hands and groaned in disappointment and the whirlpool disappeared.

"I can't do it" Katara said quietly in disappointment.

The young izuku almost made it across the monkey bars. When he was just two bars away, his arms gave out. He dropped to ground.

"I can't do it." Izuku complained.

"You can't or you dont want to?" The man asked confusing him. "There is a difference between if you can do it and won't do it. You can't fly can you?" The man asked. Izuku shook his head in response. "Can you cross the bars?" Izuku looked up at the bars and then back to the old man. He just had a smile on his face. Izuku got up and marched to the start of the monkey bars.

"You can't or you don't want to?" Izuku asked getting a confused look on both Tsu and Katara's face. "There's a difference between you can't and you won't. You can't bend fire right?" Izuku asked getting a nod from Katara. "But, you can whirlpool in the water right?"

Katara stood at Izuku trying to make sense of what he just even said. But when it hit her, she got into her previous stance and closed her eyes again. She moved her arms in a circular motion again. Tsu and Izuku looked over to see the whirlpool form again. But bigger. Izuku let out a small smile which Tsu took note of.

When the whirlpool was big enough, most of the villains were caught in it. So Tsu took her opportunity to grab Izuku and Katara. When Tsu grabbed Katara, she fainted from exhaustion. Tsu was about to stop and check on her before Izuku stopped her.

"Dont worry about her. I got her. We have a small window before the whirlpool disappears." Izuku said as he held Katara close so she wouldn't slip as Tsu jumped through the air and swimmed to the shore.

Tsu jumped out of the water, landing on the shore. She let go of the two, letting Izuku to set katara on the sand.

"Get her out of here" Izuku said as he stood up

"Where are you going?" Tsu asked. Izuku just looked to the center of the USJ to see a large bird looking villain. 

"Just get her out of here" Izuku said before running off.
