Ten Days Till Sports Festival
Izuku Was going on an afternoon run. It was the weekend, so he had plenty of time to go on his run. He has his ear buds in listening to music as he ran. His run was peaceful until a familiar face showed up.
"Hello, Midoryia. What a coincidence that we have the rout" Iida greeted Izuku as he jogged up to him. Izuku internally rolled his eyes at the fact he just ruined his run. Weekends are for him. Not to spend time with his classmates.
"Iida wasn't it?" Izuku asked as he wasn't well with the names of his classmates yet.
"Yes. I don't think we properly got acquainted with each other." Iida said extending his hand for him to shake. Izuku just Stared at him dumbfounded.
"Look, Right now im trying to prepare for the sports festival. So I would like to continue my run... alone" Izuku said denying his hand shake.
"Of course. My apologies. I will let you finished your run. I'll see you on Monday in class" Iida apologized to Izuku and then continued on his own route. After Iida took his leave, Izuku unpaused his music and continued on his own run.
Usually his run would last another ten minutes. But as he past a nearby beach, he stopped to look at it. Usually he would just run right passed it. But today he just stopped to take a look at it.
The beach itself was void of life. Instead of being filled with people. It was occupied by trash.
"But, remember this, helping isn't always about helping people." The old man spoke.
"How so?" Izuku asked.
"Look over there. You see the train on the ground?" The old man asked getting a nod from Izuku. "Sometimes the best way to help is just pick up simple trash on the floor."
Izuku looked back at the trash for a second and then went over to toss it in the trash.
Izuku stared at the dump for what felt like forever. His staring was interrupted with someone bumping into him.
"Watch it" The person snapped at Izuku. He didn't react much besides giving them a side glare. He saw that it was girl around the same age as him. He also notice her black hair styled into a bun with two bangs down the side of her face. He thought he recognized her for a moment. But she just turned away and kept walking.
He dismissed the interaction and looked back to the beach.
"Alright let's train" Izuku Said to himself.
_______________________________________________Seven Days Before The Sports Festival
It's been three days since Izuku had began to clean the beach for his training. There was no way he was going to clean it all up in seven days. But se trash is better than none.
Everyone was leaving the school for the day. Izuku just walked through the gate that lead put of the school grounds.
"Midoryia" A female voice called out stopping him in his tracks. He turned to see it was Suki. "Where you heading to?" Izuku stared at her for a moment before turning back and continued walking.
"Home" Hr spoke on a quiet monotone voice.
"Well, a few of us are going out to get to know each other better. You wanna come?" Suki asked, catching up to Izuku. He just gave her a side eye as a response. "Well, if you change your mind, here's this" she slipped him a piece of paper. After giving him the paper, Suki disappeared among the crowd of students trying to get out of school.
Izuku didn't pay attention to her and just walked away down the street. As he walked home, the note hadn't entered his mind at all. His mind was in the last place he'd expect.
A slightly older Izuku, a few years older, was all bruised up and panting heavily. Behind him on the ground a younger kid who looked all beat up.
"Leave him alone Kacchan" izuku demanded
"Or what Deku? You gonna use your weak quirk on me??" Bakugou just laughed at izuku. Izuku stood there defensively waiting for Bakugou to make a move. But he was too fast. Izuku was on the ground in an instant. But that didn't stop him from getting up from the ground. "Just stay down and I won't have to hit you"
Bakugou went for a right hook. But this time, it was Bakugou who was on the ground. His two lackeys were in complete shock. When Bakugou went for right hook, Izuku just grabbed his arm and kicked his leg, sending him to the floor. Izuku stared down at the boy breathing heavily.
"Leave him alone Kacchan" Izuku demanded. Instead of saying anything, Bakugou just got up and quickly walked away angry. When the three boys were gone, izuku turned to the boy "Are you ok?" He asked extending the hand. He grabbed Izuku's hand.
"Are you two young men ok?" An older man asked.
"Hey, its you" Izuku said surprised by his sudden appearance.
"Yes, it is. Its been a while hasn't it. Are you alright?" The old man asked.
"I'm ok" Izuku answered.
"You remind me of my nephew" the old man said with smile.
"How so?" Izuku asked.
"Just like you, he is strong, compassionate, and isn't afraid to to stand up for other who need help." The man answered, keeping his smile. "Oh, my apologies. I never told you my name. I am Iroh Nakamura"
"What!? Y-your the ex hero The Dragon" Izuku said getting extremely excited. Iroh just let out a chuckle at his response
"And what might be your name young man?" Iroh asked.
"My name is Izuku, Izuku Midoryia" izuku answered.
"Well Izuku, I saw how you dealt with the bullies and I must say, I am impressed." Iroh said with an even bigger smile.
"Really?" He asked.
"You ended the conflict with him without hitting the boy. You ended it peacefully as you could. So yes, I am impress. As much as you're like my nephew, he would've rushed in instead." Iroh explained.
"Izuku!" A women called out.
"Sounds like someone's calling for you. I'll let you be" iroh said his goodbyes.
"Its nice to see you again" izuku said as he waved to Iroh as he went to run for his mother.
