Bella POV
It's been a week since I left the Cullens in rage. I somehow found myself in Las Vegas, Nevada. How in the good lord's name did I find myself here?
It's about... one in the morning, and I've been strolling these sidewalks for the last... seven hours.
I began walking down a dimly lit alleyway, looking for some place to stay, when a bulky man in a dark hoodie walked out from the shadows. My eyes grew wide, and I began speed walking, trying not to give into my powers.
As I speed up, he did as well. I soon took off into a full on sprint, with him right at my heels. I just about rounded the corner when I felt a monstrous, sweety, callous hand grip my upper arms tightly, and pull me back. I made to scream, but froze in fright, as his left hand was over my mouth, while his other played with the hem of my shirt.
All awareness kicked in, and I began thrashing, and biting his hand. I didn't get far, but I soon felt myself being pulled off of him, and turned just in time to see him bowl into an old, brick abandoned building, with a sick crunch, as I mentally winced.
I looked behind me, and found a girl (I think) that couldn't be much older than I. She had red/brown hair, and sparkling mischief blue/green eyes. She smiled brightly and her wings, flattened to her ba-, wait! Wings!?
I started gobsmacked. There's more like me...
She held her hand out for me to shake, and I tentatively raised mine to accept it. She grinned lazily, and shook my hand vigorously, it felt like it was going to be torn off!
"The names, Anna." Hmmm... Anna. Pretty name. "Anna Masen."
Masen. Masen, as in Edward Masen?
"Isabella." I cringed at my name. "Isabella Cullen," I scrunched my nose, thinking of what to say, "but the family calls me Bella, or Bells." I added quickly, not for her benefit, but most likely mine.
"Family used to call me Dove, but I hadn't seen them since the early 1900's." She said sadly.
1900's, early 1900's?
"If you don't mind me asking, but, did you have any siblings?" I asked softly, afraid the question might bring back some bad memories.
Her eyes glazed over, as she started at me.
"Yes." She said just as softly. "Edward." Edward? My Edward. Edward Anthony Masen, now Cullen?
"Edward Masen." Oh, dear Lord, if you can hear me, please help us tonight! I prayed
"I-I-" I started off weakly, not sure how to bring it up.
"I know, Edward." I spoke quietly, hopefully she didn't hear that.
"You-you know, Ed-Edward." She stuttered, tears rimming her eyes.
I nodded, "He's my... He's my, fiancee."
Her eyes widened, almost to the point of popping out, and her mouth dropped, rather largely I might add.
"T-take me. Take me to him. Please!" She begged pulling on the sleeves of shirt.
I grabbed her shoulders to still her, and she stopped almost instantly. "Okay. I'll take you."
She squealed loudly, which made my ears ring,I might add, and drug me down the corner, and we were off in a flash of wings...
Edward POV
The family and I were lounging in the living room, when we heard the distinct click of the front door, I sat bolt strait, and stared at the door, as well as the rest of the family.
Bella walked in, but I was too froze to move. She sloshed in slowly, leaving the door open, and moving into my arms. I held her closely, nearly squeezing the life out of her.
I had my nose buried in her hair, when I saw a hint of red from the side of the door. I released Bella gently, and moved slowly, and silently to the door, and peaked out the side of the door.
I didn't see anything, so I turned back around, and walked in shutting the door behind me. When I looked up, I saw something I thought I'd never see again. My jaw dropped, and my eyes bugged.
"Well that's attractive, Eduardo. I can see now why Bella picked you of all human/vampire beings in this world." Her beautiful face was emotionless, but you could hear her bell like laugh.
"D-d-" I slurred the first letter, not capable of saying her name after all these years.
"D-oo-vve." She sounded out to me, like I was three.
"DOVE!" I screeched, running at her, pulling her my arms, and spinning her around. Her bell laughter rang through the living room, and I was completely oblivious to everybody around us.
I had my baby sister back.
