Chapter fifteen

Lei held onto his sister's hand tightly making sure she wouldn't be let go from his grip, the harsh wind blew in the Kim siblings faces making so-hyun huddle into her brother's arm more to block her from the wind.

"Oppa...how long until we get there?" So-hyun whines loudly in his ear making the boy click his tongue annoyed at her constant complaining "didn't you ask me the same thing literally 5 minutes ago?"

So-Hyun rolled her eyes slapping her brother's arm causing lei to hiss in pain from the harsh slap
"Yah! That hurt"

"Answer my question!"

Lei stopped walking abruptly causing so-hyun to walk directly into his back, glaring at the back of her brother's head she caressed her forehead that was impacted from his hard back.

"Are you stupid!? Why did you stop walking-."

Lei put a hand over her mouth causing her curse words she was spitting out to him become muffled, slapping his hand away she peaked over his shoulder "What is it?"

So-hyun gasps in shock letting the hold on her brother's hand slip down to her side she could only watch with wide eyes. her heart pulses loudly blocking out the chattering people around her. Everything was quiet. She couldn't hear anything not even the shouts of her brother...it was deadly silent.

A Door seemed to close back onto her the sound of peoples loud talks reached her ears and the shouts of her brother...it all came back. So did her senses.

Walking slowly to the body that laid on the cold ground just outside her house she felt her screams echo around her neighbourhood, falling to her knees she stared in pure horror at the sight of her-

"Ma..."

Raising a shaky hand to reach out to her mother it fell back down to the side hitting the floor harshly...the blood that pooled around her mother stained so-hyuns clothes and skin but she could care less, nothing seemed to matter anymore. she cried when she saw it drip like a broken tap from out of her mothers mouth adding even more liquid to the puddle of blood.

Lei chocked on his sobs muffling the sounds of his cries with his palm, falling to the floor next to his sister he brought the crying girl into his arms...he doesn't know exactly how to react..here his mothers body lay bleeding out but the way he feels almost relieved confuses his heart as to how he could feel something so dark...

Sirens blared through the streets rushing to the Kim's. Two paramedics rushed out the ambulance and lifted their mothers cold body onto a stretcher before putting her in the back of the car hurriedly.

So-Hyun and lei stood up and watched as a paramedic talked to them about the transportation but they couldn't hear anything but silence...it was muffled. It's just nothing made sense.

That was the last thing they saw of their mother....before the ambulance doors closed.

Do-Hwan muttered half hearted apologies to the people he shoved out of his way because right at this moment his girlfriend was more important.

When he heard the news of so-hyuns and lei's mother he waisted no time in rushing to the hospital, he knows what it feels like to loose a parent because he lost both of his at such a young age.

"Lei!" Do-Hwan called out to the anxious boy who's leg wouldn't stop bouncing up and down nervousness practically oozed of lei gripping onto do-hwan as-well.

Lei's head shot up to look at do-hwan who looked like he just ran a whole marathon "you're here" lei breathed out standing up quickly gripping onto do-hwans shoulders he looked into his eyes "Help my sister please" he begged.

Do-hwan nodded before walking into a room he assumed was their mothers hospital room which she wasn't in at the moment because she was still undergoing surgery.

The noise of the door was the thing that knocked
so-hyun out of her bubble of worrying and sadness, when she saw do-hwan she couldn't help the tears that poured from her eyes she let her sobs escape her mouth..

Not wasting a minute she ran into her boyfriends arm's where she knew she would be safe from any harm in, wrapping his arms securely and tightly around her waist he held her so she felt comfortable and safe...if he could he'd do anything to make this pain from her heart go away but he knows from experience it never does.

"M-my eomma- my eomma is going to be okay r-right!?" So-hyun said between loud cries, do-hwan's teeth gritted together he wanted to tell her everything was going to be okay but how could he give her false hope when he and she both know deep down she wasn't coming back...

Staying silent he just shushed her quietly while stoking her hair, kissing her temple he whispered softly
"I can only give you all my time and affection but do i wish on every star that I could take your pain away baby ...just stay with me and I'll be here forever and always"

So-hyun spent the remaining 2 hours crying into her boyfriends arms while he held her tightly never once letting her go, she eventually fell asleep in his arms giving him the chance to let his tears escape his eyes.

He can't say he's completely and utterly heartbroken that so-hyun's mum is on the verge of death but he felt completely and utterly heartbroken for his girlfriend.

when he saw the way she cried for her mother to come back and be okay he got flashbacks from when he was a child crying on his knees to have his parents back in his arms but no matter how many prayers and tears of grief, god would never be able to grant grieving people their loved one back because it was simply impossible.

Lei walked into the hospital room with tears in his eyes he gulped before whispering the words do-hwan was dreading to tell so-hyun once she awakens from her slumber.

"S-she's gone..."
