Chapter thirty one

"How are you Honey?"

"Well when seeing you in such a condition makes me not okay whatsoever" she replied with sadly going to grab their hand . so-hyun caressed their hand ever so gently.

"I'm fine sweetheart just promise me to look after my do-hwan for me hm?" The lady asked politely a hint of sadness leaking through her strong facade.

"Grandma..." so-hyun bit her lip harshly to prevent the tears from spilling out of her doe eyes, the woman smiled softly up at her grandson's girlfriend who she knows will treat him the way he deserves "please promise me so-hyun..."

Nodding she wiped away the stray tear falling down her cheek quickly "I will, I promise i will" she reassured the woman who now laid on her death bed looking as weak as ever.

The sound of the door clicking open made the two ladies heads turn towards a sad do-hwan who masked his sadness with a grin, he held two plastic bags full of treats to eat "I brought food"

So-hyun stood up and helped her boyfriend with the heavy bags placing the bags down onto the floor she turned to her boyfriend with a warm smile "Silly boy you forgot the drinks. I'll go get them-."

"No it's fine I'll get them-."

"Shush stay here with your grandmother I'll be back soon" pecking his lips lovingly she pulled away and then left the room to get the drinks but in reality she didn't need to get them she knew he needed time with his grandma while he still had it.

Yes Do-hwan's grandmother has gotten very ill but it's been going on for awhile now...the doctor's have requested if she stayed in the hospital for more checkups but just yesterday they found out the woman didn't have long.

Do-hwan and so-hyun have come to the hospital to stay and keep her company for the rest of the time she has left, which is so little and it really breaks both their hearts that they can't do anything.

-mini time skip-

Cold,that's all he felt when he touched the woman who used to be his only sense of warmth in his cold life, the woman who's smile melted his heart the woman who's cooking always made him want more to the point he couldn't have anymore unless he wanted to pop like a ballon...that woman who he clings onto for strength to continue in this cruel world will soon be leaving it.

Her fiery brown eyes always shined with love and passion for her family but now they were dull and greying like the hairs on her head...her time was coming to an end but do-hwan knows that she won't be alone when she's up there she'll have his mother and father . When God takes her back to Heaven the most important adults in his life will all be watching him and he hopes to make them all proud.

"Sorry Mr woo but she's...she's gone" A doctor said with sorrow printed onto his face "I'm sorry for your loss" he whispered out before patting the boys back then leaving the grieving boy alone.

His eyes watered to brim he wanted to scream and shout in denial that she was gone but he'd be damed if he ever made his grandmother feel guilty for leaving this world. No he wouldn't do that to her. She needs a peaceful send off to the afterlife.

Standing up he leaned over her body and pecked her forehead softly a few tears dropped down onto her pale skin, pulling back with shaky hands he put the blanket over her head to hide her face.

The door was opened and hurried footsteps were soon heard. Turning around he was immediately pulled into a warming hug by the girl who he knew would be able to keep him from going insane.

He cried heart wrenching sobs into her shoulder while she stroked his hair calming him little by little "My poor boy...I'm here for you, I'll always be right here" she whispered comfortingly into his ear making the boy just hold onto her tighter as if she was working as his life support.

"Baby..can i stay at you're place? It's just that- going back to my house would just remind me of my grandma I don't think i can handle that"
do-hwan explained to his girlfriend while hanging his head down the same gloomy face painted onto his face.

So-hyun held his chin in between her fingers holding his head up so he could look at her in the eye, she smiled warmly hopping to melt away some of the sadness "Of course babe i have a big bed so you can share with me!" She winked playfully making the boy crack a small smile at his girlfriend. She really was the girl he needed.

She pecked his lips lovingly. Pulling away she smothered his face with kisses making him burst out in laughter at the ticklish feeling of his girlfriends soft lips, holding her waist he grabbed her so she fell into his lap making her kissing spam stop.

She smiled cheekily up at the boy "Hehehe"

Do-hwan smirked widely "You better run" he whispered but it hit her ears loud and clear she immediately stood up and sprinted out the car and into the house do-hwan quick on her trail.

Within Kim so-hyun's residence the only thing that could be heard was there happy laughter and joyful shouts at each other one telling the other to stop tickling them and the other saying he wouldn't stop until she called him the most handsome guy and that he was 100x better then BTS. Which trust me was very difficult for so-hyun 🤭

Sad and short chapter for ya sorry! 😪 but trust me it'll get happier!....
