I curled my honey colored hair that morning before school.

Right as I heard my oldest brother call that he was leaving with his friends.

Sadly they consisted of a few pack mates that I wasn't particularly fond of.

James, and Harry.

When we were growing up I didn't have anything to do with them, in fact I thought they were idiotic.

I was raised on the stricter more proper side, hidden away from the rest of the pack.

My family wasn't sure I would be a werewolf, because I never showed the signs.

So I was raised as human and kept away from the pack as much as possible.

In turn I didn't like to wrestle or go on hikes like the rest of them.

But I did find that my favorite thing was accelerating in sports.

So when I always saw them roughhousing and playing in dirt I always thought I was better than them.

But when we hit puberty it all changed.

Suddenly I was a beta, and because my parents never taught me how to control myself my wolf went on a killing spree. Don't worry just animals.

So I struggled a lot with shifting, even now, it was hard not to let my wolf take over because she was quite overpowering.

They say the strongest wolves are given to those of great ancestral bloodlines and luckily enough for me my family was one. We had Lucan blood running in our veins. At least that's what my dad said.

And who was I to doubt the alpha of our pack.

I quickly got in my car and sped off to school.

"Emery." My best friend, Jace, sighed.

He was never excited to see me but growing up we were the ones left out at the clan and pack get together, so eventually we played together.

He was in foster care for a long time before he was attacked on the street a few states away by a vampire.

Then he was adopted after being passed around coven to coven.

He doesn't talk about it much, but he was abused in those past homes.

His hair was dirty blonde and he had blue eyes, the cool thing about vampires were their eyes turned red before they drank blood.

I slapped his chest before laughing.

"What you didn't miss me?!" I laughed as he growled.

"Only an idiot would miss you." He said coldly.

I walked him to class and said bye before booking it to my classroom.

I sat down just in time as the teacher called attendance.
