I was all packed and ready for our weekend in Washington, it was a twelve hour drive from Montana, our home.

Jace would ride with us as usual, and we booked two hotel rooms which were pretty cheap, but nice.

Eli was making a checklist for everyone and double checking our suitcases we had left downstairs.

"He's a control freak." Jace muttered laying his head down on the back of the couch.

"Well I've been there before! It can get cold fast, and it's always raining too!" Eli pouted at Jace's remark.

"Hey where's your dress?" Eli asked after ruffling through my bag.

"I don't wanna wear it. It's so flashy!" I whined to him.

"Hey you should be proud to wear your packs pride." Eli growled.

He ran upstairs huffing and puffing about my lack of respect for traditions.

Our pride was power, we were one of the top four packs in the United States. Every pack had some sort of color corelating with what they are known for.

Because we have been one of the longest standing packs since..forever and we were naturally stealthy. We were royal blue.

The night walker pack was black.

Midnight pack was obviously purple.

River Bed pack was orange.

Moon Valley Pack was green.

The only time we had to stick to these colors were when we were on someone else's territory. So I packed mostly blue.

Our pack territory was Montana, north and South Dakota, Wyoming, and Nebraska. And Dads Beta's ruled over the different sectors of each state. Dad would visit each state every few months to check on his pack members and to make sure his betas weren't out of line.

The night walkers territory was Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, and Nevada.

The midnight packs territory was Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Rogues had taken over Utah and Colorado. But we kept a close eye on them with border patrols.

The river bed Packs territory was Minnesota to Michigan. They were a much smaller pack with a lot less members. They were often taking hits from rogues but refused help from other packs. There numbers had been dwindling for awhile.

Most of the southern states belonged to the moon Valley pack. They weren't too big either but they at least had enough defense from out of control rogues. And they weren't afraid to ask for help.

The rest of the states were common ground for everyone. Vampires, Wolves, Rogues.

It was a lot to remember, especially if you were like me and could barely keep the pack politics on your mind without having a total brain breakdown.
