I was exhausted, and ready to take a shower then collapse in my bed after my last class was over. But of course Jace and I had to run laps around the school grounds.

I put on some running clothes and met with Alpha Orion and Jace outside.

"You'll run separately around the field." Orion barked.

We gave a nod and I went first.

I was surprised when Alpha Orion began to run beside me.

I couldn't help but stare at his nice body when his shirt was stuck to his skin like it was.

He was handsome. He was so handsome.

I quickly looked away when he looked over at me. Then he started pushing me to go faster.

By the time we finished I was so tired my legs wouldn't move. I felt like a newborn foal.

I rested my hands on my knees and started to catch my breath as I waited for Jace to finish.

"You need to work on your stamina. It's awful." Alpha Orion finally spoke.

"I wasn't made for this! Running is dumb." I said before I could stop myself.

I looked up at him, expecting to see him glaring but he had a small itty bitty smile on his face.

"After school every day I want you out here. Fifteen laps." He said.

"Everyday?!" I groaned dropping to the ground and laying there.

Jace met us after I dropped.

"Seriously? That was a light jog." Jace laughed.

I moved my arm towards him barely trying to hit him.

"Get up, shower. You two will miss dinner." Alpha Orion said his face stood once again.

We ate inside the cafeteria seeing as the rain had started.

Of course only grabbed my plate for Jace.

And as usual he quickly scarfed his down and I offered mine.

"You should eat. Practice was pretty tough for you." He said shoving my plate back to me.

When we got finished with dinner I went to the library. There was no one in the hall and no one inside. It seemed perfect for me to research in, but it also made me uneasy.

When I entered the door creaked, and it was completely empty besides the rows of books.

As I walked further inside I realized that it was dusty in here. Felt like it hadn't been used in ages.

That couldn't be true though?

As far as I was aware it was open to everyone.

Towards the back of the large room it was barely lit but I could see a large tarp covering something in the back.

I walked towards it curiously.

And just as I reached the end of the book isles I heard something slam behind me.

With a scream I whirled around just to see Mr.Lawrence standing there with a smile on his face and holding a book in one hand.

"I'm glad someone actually stopped by. This old place feels a bit empty most of the time." He said his smile never fading.

I gulped and nodded.

"I stopped by to get a few of the werewolf ancestry books. Are you the librarian too?" I asked.

"I am. I enjoy reading in my spare time so I figured why not give this place a little love. It was shutdown about twenty years ago." He said.

"Shut down? Why shut down a library?" I asked more to myself.

"Apparently a student went crazy and started killing off classmates, a little sad to think about." He sighed.

"Are you for real?" I asked my jaw dropping to the floor.

He laughed and asked if he could help me find anything. Never answering my question.

The books were easy to find, a few for my research on my dads side, and the others to figure out my moms side.

I checked the books out and said goodbye to Mr. Lawrence.

He waved goodbye to me and I headed for my dorm.

10 family members on each side. I'd start with my dad's, since it was the most accessible.

I got started writing down little facts about my ancestors. Their names, their age, their wolf form, strength, stamina, what they were known for. Most of them were Alphas, who had a long reign over our pack.

I woke up in a panic still in my pjs and sitting at my desk. I didn't have time to change.

I thought of my reputation and morality for a minute, before deciding it wouldn't be worth it to change and be late.

I gathered all my books from my desk and shoved them inside my bag before slipping on my fuzzy slippers with blue stars on them.

I ran to the main building as the tardy bell rang, and prayed that Mr. Lawrence would be forgiving.

I swung open the door and Mr. Lawrence was sitting at his desk and gave me a smile as I sat down.

The redhead snickered and told her friends to look at me, then they all giggled to themselves and one of them threw a ball of paper at me.

"Hey. Get back to work." Mr. Lawrence scolded them.

He got up from his desk and came over to me.

"How are the books treating you?" He asked sitting down infront of me.

I pulled one out of my bag and blew the dust off the cover and into his face.

We both let out a little laugh before I spoke.

"I haven't gotten to the Lynx side of the family yet." I sighed.

"You will. Maybe you'll find something worth while." He said.

"Maybe. I doubt it though. I don't think anyone cared enough to write about Lycan's. I mean you have to really dig to find out about them. And there are only a few bloodlines left." I said. My father had taught me about Lycans and why they were erased from our history.

"Three. To be exact." He sighed, I watched as his fist closed tightly.

"Most of them were hunted down and murdered." He said his jaw tensing up.

"Really?" I asked. I didn't know about that. My father had never mentioned it.

"I'll tell you about it one day." He said smiling to me.
