As we made our way to the into the gym I tried to get my breathing under control. Mr. Sullivan's beady looking eyes flashing behind my eyes every time I closed them and I struggled to calm down. I was extremely thankful then for my car breaking down and Beau being here.

Before we walked into the gym, where I could hear Lachlan taking shots, Beau stopped me looking my eyes.

"Are you okay? And don't lie to me." Beau stared at me and I took a breath, looking back at him.

"I'll be okay, I just need to calm down so Lachlan doesn't notice something is wrong." I gulped and Beau's eyes went wide.

"What the-" I covered his mouth with both my hands as he spoke loudly and I listened for the sound of the balls to stop,"Your brother doesn't know?" He whispered urgently and I shook my head.

"No one knows."

"And how long has he been like that with you?" Beau demanded to know and I sighed, my eyes still teary.

"Freshmen year." He sucked in a sharp breath before turning around, heading back in that direction, "No Beau! No, please he isn't worth it. It'll be our word against his, we'd never win. I've checked online, students who go against teacher, no matter the evidence, usually don't win." He kept walking and I threw my arms around his waist, crying heavily now, "Please stay, I'm scared he'll come back here for me. Please stay here with me." I begged and he stopped walking.

Without saying a word, Beau hugged me tightly as if he were holding me together. I had said it to make sure he didn't go kill Mr. Sullivan or something stupid but the moment he hugged me I knew he was keeping me from really loosing it. Beau ran his hand up and down my back, making soothing noises as I tried to calm my breathing down for my brother.

When my breathing had returned to normal, I pulled away and wiped the remaining of my tears, "Does it look like I've been crying?" I asked him and he sighed nodding, "Oh well, just go distract my brother with a game of one on one and he'll never notice." I walked past him and he followed without another word about to me. And for that, I was relieved.

After half an hour people started to turn up and after putting the blanket in Beau's car, Lachlan ran off to join his friends. He did ask if I was okay and I blamed it on the music which he accepted, probably thinking it was to do with dad.

"Coffee?" Beau asked and I nodded. Climbing back into his car we zoomed off down to the nearest McDonalds, going through the drive through. Ordering two extra hash browns we sat in his car, sipping our coffees and eating.

"You need to tell someone Evie and I'm being serious about that." Beau stated after a while and I sighed.

"I've been dealing with it for three years Beau, I only have to deal with it for two more terms then two more after that and then never see him again. And if I do, I'll get a restraining order or I'll shoot him." I reasoned with him and I turned to see him staring at me. "What?"

"You have a funny way of seeing the world, it makes me wonder what is really going on upstairs in that brain of yours." He mused and I rolled my eyes up before looking at my phone, "We have to go?"

"Sadly school awaits us." I nodded and I sat back as he started the car school bound.

"How was Sullivan this morning?" Mia asked as we walked to our table at lunch time. We were the first ones there as we sat down.

"Yeah okay, he worked me to the bone today, my fingers are still aching from this morning." I spoke trying to keep my voice normal and Mia looked at me funnily.

"Really? He hasn't really been 'there' when he is teaching me, if you get what I mean. He is always off in a daze. I swear the only time he gives me any attention is when we practice our duet together and it's usually all negatives." She frowned, "I told my mum and she is getting me moved to a different tutor."
