"You look extremely nervous." Mia murmured behind me and Charlie and Lachlan nodded in agreement as I rolled my eyes at them, taking a deep breath.

I'd been MIA for exactly fifteen days, meaning that I had missed a lot of school and let a lot of time go pass. Lucy Saucer was currently serving one hundred and twenty hours of community service and is facing explosion pending a hearing between the school and well, me. Maria Stockfield, while Lucy is away, has become top cheerleader and top dog around school which in reality has always been her dream. Apparently she has dyed her hair blood red and it is a botched hair colour and she got a nose job because I apparently broke her nose, or at least made it extremely crocked. Beau Cross has never been more popular though I had to beat it out of Lachlan to tell me about him. And he is going out with Maria now.

"I'll live and if Maria says anything, I'll break her nose again." I shrugged and they all laughed as Jacob got out of the car to open the door for me. "Thanks Jacob." I smiled at him and he grinned back.

Walking through school was harder then the last time I walked through these horrible halls. Everyone stared at me but not one person said a word which I found a lot more daunting. I looked at the girls who shrugged and Sam walked straight up to me and gave me the biggest hug he has ever given me. He wasn't a touchy feely guy so a hug from him was like getting kissed by the president.

"How you feeling?" He asked as Charlie kissed his cheek and wrapped her arm around his waist. I nodded and grinned at him, not realising he cared so much. I assumed the only reason why he hung around us was because Charlie was there but it was nice to see that there was another layer to our friendship.

"Wanna hear something funny?" Jacob spoke to me as people began wondering around me, circling me like a shark.

"What's so funny Jacob?" I asked as I tried to remember what classes I had next.

"The reason why everyone stared but didn't make a comment was because you broke Maria's nose in two punches and then slapped both Dominic and Beau in the face in front of everyone. No one wants to mess with you now." He chuckled lightly as I shook my head in disbelief.

"Surely that isn't really the case?" I asked as I closed my locker thinking that it was strange to be feared by people who were bigger and stronger than I was.

"Oh yeah, they fear you alright." A familiar voice stood behind me and I swung around and there he stood, with his stupid boyish grin. And I will say that no one was ready for my reaction.

Except Jacob.

I launched forward my teeth clenched as I closed my fist and tried to throw it straight into his jaw. His eyes widened as he stumbled backwards into a group of bystanders who all cried out, catching him at the last moment. And catching me in the last moment as though he was a ready and waiting was Jacob who wrapped one arm around my waist and another pulling my arm back.

"Let me go Jacob!" I kept my eyes straight on Beau who looked a little shocked at my violent reaction, "Jacob!"

"He's not worth your time Evie, he isn't worth it." Jacob warned as he breathed into my ear and from the corner of my eye I saw a few teachers heading towards their classrooms. I nodded taking a deep breath but as soon as Jacob let go of me I rushed forward and got into Beau's face. I pushed him against the lockers, causing them to shake violently but not fall.

"You don't look at me, you don't speak to me and if you so much as breath in my direction I'll fucking break your legs you low life piece of shit." I hissed before storming off Jacob at my heel as people began whispering, though I didn't care. I had gotten what I wanted to say off my chest to Beau and now he knew where we stood. He understood my hatred for him now, he could see it in my eyes.
