Previously y/n told Tammy her reasonings for deferring school and they had some time together afterwards to take in what was said as y/n comforted her. Eventually it was morning and y/n went home. But a few days later, Lou messages her saying to come back to her immediately.

You're confused what it's for but ask for the address again and head over.

Once you arrive is pretty quiet there and Debbie and Lou seem to be the only people present. The door was open as you entered and Lou and Debbie are sat at the kitchen table.

Lou - "Hey how are you doing?"

Y/n - "Im all good. Is everything okay? What's so urgent?

Debbie and Lou exchange glances and then turn back to you.

Lou - "We just want to know what happened between you and Tam the night you stayed."

Y/n - "What? Why is she okay?"

Debbie - "You see we're actually not sure if she is. She's just been off and distant and whenever we see her she's crying or looks like she just stopped. She won't talk about it if we ask, so we wondered if you guys had a fight or something that's made her react this way? It's just really not like Tammy so we're a bit concerned."

You are in shock and didn't realise how much your story affected her.

Y/n - "Is she umm- is she here?"

Debbie - "Yeah she's in her room. She's not left for a few days now apart from for food and stuff and she won't talk. We've tried all we could but she just cries and hugs us and refuses to talk about it."

You are so worried for her now and dismiss yourself instantly heading straight up to her room. The girls watch and Debbie gets up to follow but Lou stops her.

Y/n - "Tammy! Tammy is it okay if I come in?"

You hear shuffling and the door opens and she grabs you closing the door behind her. She holds you close to her and you just let her hug you for a bit.

Y/n - "I'm sorry if I scared you or anything talking you about what happened. I didn't mean for it to make you like this I just wanted to be honest with you I-"

Tammy pulls away holding you to stay facing her.

Tammy - "No no honey dont apologise, please. I understand completely and I just got a bit sad that I wasn't there to help you, that's all. I can't help but feel responsible. I mean I probably made home awkward after I left and I stopped contacting you for visits. I know your mom told you about me and I'm glad she did but I wish she'd never had to. I wish I'd just been there for you like I was in the beginning. I always felt like we got on so well and to just leave you. I know there's more to the story but I can't help but feel like I'm a partly responsible for what happened."

Y/n - "Tam... I really don't think that's the case, it was way after you left I really honestly don't think that's the case. Please don't blame yourself. I blamed myself for years and what I learnt was that at the end of the day, its nobody's fault. It's just an unfortunate situation when your body isn't stable and shuts down and you shouldn't dwell on the past and try to find reasoning why. You should just work on getting better and getting a more optimistic perspective. It's nothing on you Tam I promise."

Tammy nods but you can tell she's still upset.

You're about to speak but your phone goes off and it's your roommate. You notice and tell Tammy who it is and she said it's okay to answer.

You read it and sigh smiling but not in a happy way.

Tammy - "Are you okay honey?"

You look up and see her looking at you and close your phone sorting yourself out quickly taking a deep breath.
