New Beginnings

Part 8

Previously - y/n found out how her story affected Tammy and settled her nerves on the subject. She also spoke to Lou who has her suspicions of your past, but she can tell you aren't one to talk in that moment and so cheers you up with a funny story from her past.

Since that day you've been over at Lou's a lot. Partly because you needed to be around people for your recovery and also because well... it was fun.

You got on with everyone and they were all so different you loved it. No conversation was similar and you were always entertained there.

However, one thing you'd not done was get drunk with them. That was until Daphne walked in shouting on the phone, in a stressed mood.

You watch her unsure of what's happening and once she hangs up you all stare at her lost.

Daphne - "What?"

Constance - "Are you good?"

Daphne - "Yeah I'm fine. Just men being men. I genuinely can't... Ugh anyone got any wine? I could really use a drink right now."

You look around and no one answers.

Daphne - "Great."

Y/n - "Uhh- why don't we go buy some? We could make an evening of it and maybe I'll get to know you guys a bit better. I mean if I've learnt anything in college, alcahol is a great ice breaker. As long as you're all up for that.

Daphne immediately agrees trying to decide what brand of wine she wants for her mood, while Constance is checking to see if there's actually any left in the flat.

All they find is a half drunken bottle of tequila which she says is Tammys. You look at tam raising your eyebrow and she smiles.

Y/n - "Okay we are definitely doing shots of that tonight then. And as for the rest of the drinks, uhh Lou? Would you be able to take me on your bike to get stuff?"

Lou agrees but Tammy is hesitant.

Tammy - "Wait umm it's not safe though. Have you ever even been on a bike before I... You're gonna have loads of drinks too, it's just not safe guys."

Y/n - "Tam, I've been on a bike before but you're right how would be get all the stuff home?"

Lou - "Hmm okay good point. Tam we'll take your car okay, we'll be back in a sec."

Tammy sighs in relief, telling her where the keys are before you both head out after everyone gives you their drink requests.

You don't drive for long and it goes by fast while you both jam to the random music on the radio. Lou's a pretty good singer. You're kind of impressed but she keeps doing that thing where she makes it sounds jokey to hide it. But you're onto her.

Eventually you make it back with the bevvies and place them all on the kitchen counter.

Lou - "You guys know we could have just gone to my bar right."

Tammy - "I know but this is cool too. We can at least hear eachother talk."

Lou gives her an expression as if to say 'fair point' and continues unloading the bottles.

Y/n - "You own a bar?"

Lou - "Yeah, you should check it out some time . I think you'd like it."

Y/n - "Maybe I will."

You both give eachother a look and she winks before heading over to Debbie and kissing her.

Constance comes over and grabs a bottle looking at the label.
