Chapter 12. New Friends

MEÍRA'S P.O.V

It's been a month since my stay here in Manila. In that one month a lot of things happened to my life. I meet a lot of people and some of them became my friends, including Bianca, Denise, Freya, Shantel, and Noah. Bianca, Denise, Freya and Shantel are my blockmate.

When I first saw Bianca, I thought I would not be friends with her because she's always serious and she rarely smiles. But when we talk to her I found out that she's just shy to approach people, some people thought that she's not kind of person but the truth is she's really kind and sweet. While Denise, Shantel and Freya is really cheerful and kind too, I can't stop laughing when I'm with them.

While Noah, He's 3rd year college and he's from law department too. I should call him senior as a respect but he didn't want me to call him that because he thought it makes him old. I chuckled when he said that to me.

While me and ate Caily became really close too each other. She treat me like her own sister, she's really sweet and kind towards me. And she always gives me advice about accepting someone in my life that easy. She said that I shouldn't trust people easily, and I should know them first before accepting them to my life. And said that our eyes deceive us. Sometimes I don't understand what she wants to tell me, but I really appreciate her concern to me.

"Mei, did you find a job already.?" I was cut off my thoughts when Alex asked me while munching her food.

Me and my friends are here now in the canteen having our lunchbreak , after a tiring class.

"Not yet, most of them are morning and the others are far away from our dorm. You know mom will not allowed me, because it's not safe for me." Said to her sadly. I really need a job now because I don't have money anymore to buy my needs.

"You need a job Meí?"Bianca ask me. I averted my gaze to her and nodded my head

"I didn't know that you need a job. Why you didn't tell us, so that we can help you to find a job for you." She ask me concern.

"Yeah you didn't tell us, how can we help you if you didn't tell us your problem jen." Freya said while looking to me. I smile to her.

"I told you jen, you're more welcome to our house. Dad and mom wouldn't get mad besides it makes them both happy if you live with us." Gab said to me. His mom and dad already know me when he envited us to his younger sister's birthday last week.

"I asked her too to just stay in our house but she didn't accept it. So, if I where you stop dreaming that Meí will accept your offer Gab."Chloe said and chuckled to annoye Gab.

"You're welcome to our house too jennie." Shantal said happily to me.

"Of course our door is open too for you Meí, you're welco---." Denise words was interrupted when Bianca phone suddenly rang. She excuse herself and exited the canteen to answer the call.

"She won't accept your offer guys, I already said her to not worry about her needs and I will give her a money to buy her needs but she still refused my help to her." Alex said and pouted.

"Thank you so much guys I really really appreciate your kindness towards me but, I'm sorry I can't accept your offer." I said to them.

"Just tell to us if you need our help ok?." Shantel said to me.

"I will. Thank you again guys." I said amd smile to them sweetly. We continue to eat our lunch while talking about something.

"Who called you Bianca? Why you need to answered it outside."Chloe asked Bianca when she cameback.

"Ah my mom called me I don't want you guys hear it because I'm sure she will baby talk me." She said without meeting our gaze. She's shy because her mom still treat her like a baby.

"HAHAHA is that so, your mom is sweet."Shantel said teasingly. And we chuckled too.

"Btw, Méi Ms. President said that she wants to talk to you in her office. "Bianca told me. I'm shocked.

"How did you know that she wants to talk with me." I asked her.

"She saw me outside, and told me that she wants to talk with you." She said coldy. Palagi naman siya cold magsalita kaya nasasanay na din ako.

"How did she knew that you and Méira are friends." Gab asked curiously.

"Of course she saw me with Meí. Gosh use your mind" Bianca said irritated. Bianca is kind but she has a short temper too.

"HEHEHE yeah you're right, sorry." Gab said while scratching her nape.

"Ms. President wants to talk with me as in right now.?" I ask Bianca.

"She said that this afternoon our after our last period."

"She didn't tell you why she wants to talk with me.?" I asked her again.

"She didn't tell me the reason." She said.

"Hmm ok, thank you." I said to her and she nodded her head.

After we eat our lunch. We headed to the locker to pick up the book that we were going to use in class this afternoon.

"Meí, I noticed that there are no letters in your locker anymore." Chloe asked curiously. I noticed it too.

It's ok with me if they don't give me a letter anymore, I'm just wondering why they all stopped giving me the letter at the same day?

As far as I know last week, there was still a lot of letters in my locker when I picked up my books. It's just I'm shocked that there isn't even a single letter now. But I shrugged it off, maybe they're tired already chasing me. I can't blame them though.

"Yeah, I'm already expecting that there's letters will fall to the floor from your locker again."Denise said.

"And I'm ready to read their cheesy
message for you Meí."Shantel said and chuckled.

"I'm glad they stop already. I'm your only suitor now." Gab said happily. I chuckled because of what he said.

"Don't expect too much Gab." Bianca said to him.

"But aren't you guys wondering why the letters suddenly disappeared, I mean they suddenly stopped giving letters and gifts to Meí." Shantel asked curiously while looking to me.

"Hmm I don't know too. Maybe they realized that I'm not worth their time." I said to them.

"No. There's really something wrong. Yesterday when you open your locker there were many more, but now there isn't even one." Denise said.

"Don't mind it guys it's ok if they stop giving me a letter. Let's go to our class now, shall we?"I said to them and they nodded. Me and Alex said goodbye to them because we're blockmate in Criminal law for this afternoon.
