Ignore the world

Ignore everybody

Ignore him

The words move as a mantra through my head while I walk through the hallways over towards my locker.

Placing my black converses on the ground, tile after tile I feel more eyes on me.

Of course everybody is gossiping about Friday.

I pull at the hem of my short jeans skirt, adjusting my white tank top, even studying the buttons of my black large blazer, everything to avoid looking at the people in the hallways.

Rue is standing at my locker looking with sympathy at me.

"Are you okay?" she asks.

"I don't know." I honestly reply.

I feel how I am buried in a big bear hug.

Remi and Bastian.

I look at them and smile.

"Thank you, guys." I say.

"We'll talk at lunch." Rue says as she hugs me before leaving for her class.

"Good luck, you'll need it today." Remi smirks as he and Bastian disappear.

It's not too late to walk back out.

"Well, Vitch, dying from embarrassment?" I hear Anne-Marie says as she bumps into me while walking past me.

If only she knew who kissed me.

Maybe I just need to be the bigger person.

Ignore the world

Ignore everybody

Ignore him

And I walk to class.

I take my seat in the back of the room, since all the other spots are already taken.

I can always hope he doesn't show up.

Or when he does, I'll just ignore him.

Yeah, that sounds like a plan.

I take my notes and wait for the teacher to start.

Maxen walks in on time and smirks as he spots me.

"Morning Vitch." He grins.

Is he seriously going to do this?

Just ignore him, Michelle.

I look at my notes as if they are the most interesting thing in the world.

The teacher walks in and starts to explain what the next assignment will be.

"Looking forward to working with you Mitch." Maxen says.

I look him death in the eye.

"I don't."

And then continue to follow my notes.

As the class ends, I rush out as quickly as possible disappearing in the hallways rushing over to my locker.

I take a deep breath inside my locker.

I push my books inside.

"Mitch what the fuck?"

Why is he following me.

I look from behind my locker to a fuming Maxen.

"Fuck off." I simply reply.

"No Mitch." He says and before I can move back, he smashes my locker closed.

I feel how all eyes are on us immediately.
