Now that Muzan has been defeated, everyone who has survived seems more at ease. Even Giyuu Tomioka seems a bit happier until he overhears something Tanjiro mumbles to himself.
"Thank you Sabito for helping me become a demon slayer." Tomioka looks over at Tanjiro in shock. Sabito is dead. That is the one thing he has been sure of for a long time. Tanjiro looks at Tomioka confused at the shock on the Water Piller's face.
"Is something wrong Tomioka-san?"
"What did you just say?"
"Oh, back when I was training with Urokodaki I couldn't break my boulder. I trained for six months after he had finished teaching me, but I still couldn't do it. Sabito and Makomo helped me to essentially pass Final Selection." Giyuu stares at Tanjiro before just nodding along.

Giyuu walks up the familiar trail of Mount Sagiri. Lavender eyes that were so much like wisteria flashed through his mind as he walked. He approaches the faded home of his old mentor. Sakonji Urokodaki looks at his old apprentice in curiosity.
"What brings you here, Giyuu?"
"I was wondering if I could stay with you for a while. I don't know how long I plan to stay specifically."
"You're welcome to stay as long as you want. You must be tired from the long journey. The futons are where they always have been." Giyuu nods at his mentor's words and walks into the place he slept beside his closest friend.
Giyuu lays the futon in the spare room that he had once shared with Sabito. His chest clenches up as he remembers the peach-color haired male with the beautiful, mysterious lavender eyes that stayed in his mind.
As he lays down on the futon, he is brought back to his younger years of when he had first arrived at Urokodaki's.

Giyuu whimpered softly as he woke from a nightmare. His nightmares were always the same; Tsutako telling him to run as the demon entered their home. Then her bloody body flashes through his nightmare.
Giyuu tried to be quiet as he silently cried. He knew how his friend, and fellow swordsmen-in-training felt about tears. However, he was surprised when he felt another weight on his futon. Then, two arms wrapped around his crying figure.
"Shhh, Yuu. Did you have another nightmare?" Giyuu looks up to see the lavender eyes of his friend filled with genuine worry and concern for himself. A wave of guilt comes over him as he realizes he was not as quiet as he thought.
"I'm sorry for waking you up, Sabito." Suddenly, Giyuu felt Sabito's hand rubbing his back and he felt butterflies in his stomach that he didn't understand.
"Don't apologize and don't avoid my question, Yuu." Giyuu hides his face in his friend's chest, feeling himself calm down from his nightmare.
"Yes...I had another nightmare. It was the same one as always..." Sabito lets go of Tomioka before standing up. He pushes his futon until it is right beside Giyuu's.
"Let's sleep together. This way you can calm down easier if you have another nightmare."
"A-Alright. Thank you, Sabito." Sabito layed back down and Giyuu curled up in his arms. A feeling of safety surrounded Tomioka as he starts to feel sleep coming more easily.
"Good Night, Sabito."
"Good Night, Yuu."
