"California?"

"God, no."

"Why not? California is nice."

"Have you ever been to California?"

"Well, no. I've seen pictures. The pictures look nice."

"I'm sure they do."

"What about Colorado?"

"Absolutely not."

"Okay, well you haven't said anything, and you've shot down every idea I've had."

"God, listening to you two bicker is like listening to an old married couple," Reed groaned.

"You haven't said anything, either!" Iris exclaimed.

Reed let out a content sigh and stretched his arms above his head. "I would much rather you two decide, and I tag along for the ride."

Iris rolled her eyes and turned back to Jay. "Florida?"

"No."

"Do you even want to go anywhere?"

"Not really."

"So, you've just been shooting down my ideas for the fun of it?"

"Basically."

Iris let out a frustrated groan and fell onto her back in the grass.

"I can't believe this. I picked the two worst people to be friends with."

"I wouldn't expect us to be friends much longer with comments like that," Reed said.

"Oh, shut up," she huffed. "Where are we going to go, then?"

"I would suggest staying here," Jay said," but I have a feeling that's going to be a no."

"We have to do something!" Iris said. "We can't just stay here forever."

"I don't know," Jay sighed. "We don't have to decide right now."

"I want to have a plan set out."

"That's a long way away. I think we'll be fine if we don't decide today."

"I'm never going to get anything done with you two," Iris groaned, covering her face.

Jay hummed in agreement because how could he disagree? He would be lying if he said he didn't want to go anywhere, because a trip away from this town sounded heavenly. The planning part was what stumped him. Sometimes he wished he could just go with no plan, no directions.

Jay sat up.

"Let's go somewhere."

Iris peered up at him. "What?"

"Let's go somewhere," Jay said again. "Let's just go."

"I-." Iris looked to Reed for help, but Reed was looking at Jay curiously.

"Where do you have in mind?" He questioned.

Jay shook his head. "No place, no plan. Let's just go."

"Well, that's ridiculous!" Iris said. "We can't just...leave! We have to plan!"

"Ask your mom," Jay said to Reed. "My mom will let me go. She always wants me to get out of the house."
