I broke apart at your heart,
It's testimonies of long-forgotten histories,
Moments I left behind, but you were so inclined,
To store inside yourself, on your 'precious things' bookshelf.
I wish I could say, I still feel the same way,
If only you were to be spared, and this heavy lose of love could be shared.
But I lost you long ago, to music, and people, and hot cocoa.
I fell for small things, sights and sounds, and beings.
Grow more dependent of me not, but rather fall in love with the things you forgot.
