Maybe I didn't like it because I was safe.
I shouldn't have felt safe, to open up, to... feel.
And yet, I did. And it felt different.
Wrong.
Maybe that's why I didn't like that place.
Not because it's where other's talked about their hurt,
But because it had potential for me to talk about mine.
It wasn't their anxiety, their tension,
That nestled in my stomach,
Rising bile in my throat,
Overwhelming me.
It was my own.
