Sometimes I forget to breathe.
The world becomes a bit too much.
Trying to calm a racing heart underneath,
In order to relax and such.Everything inside shuts down.
My brain goes blank and bare.
Body slowed by heavy gown,
Woven from threads of despair. And when I blink back to reality,
I inhale with bizarre surprise.
Thoughts flood the once empty,
Now a place where peace dies.No one seemed to notice, no one seemed to care.
That I had ever left. Or was never really there.
