The same morning…
Gentle knocks sounded from the direction of the door.

"Honey?" a woman spoke from the other side of the door. "Time to get ready for school."

From inside the room, a girl with long black hair with a white streak and light tan skin sat up from her bed. She stretched her arms with a yawn.

"Cerise?" the woman spoke again.

"I'm up mom!" the girl responded, being followed by departing footsteps.

Cerise then stood up, made her bed, and picked out her uniform.

It was a gray tunic with yellow sleeves topped with a black cowl, a pair of yellow leggings, and a pair of brown boots.

She then went out to the shared bathroom and looked at the mirror. She timidly stared at her gray-blue eyes on her reflection, like she does every morning, before tucking her hair behind her ears. But her ears weren't like the normal pointy ones as that of the other fairytales. They were pointy and were covered in gray fur.

Cerise shrugged and took a shower.

Later, after getting dressed for school, she brushed her hair and went down for breakfast.

"Good morning, mom," she greeted the woman by the stove.

She had long dark brown hair, light complexion, and brown eyes. And she was wearing a white shirt, a pair of black leggings, and a pair of black flip-flops. She also had a red apron on.

"Morning, sweetie," the woman greeted back.

"You're greeting mom, but you're not greeting your sister?" another voice spoke from behind Cerise.

The girl turned around, only to see a slightly taller girl with light tan complexion, golden yellow eyes, and wavy dark brown hair with a red streak. She had brown fur around her ears and her canines were sharp. And she was wearing a gray tunic with orchid-colored sleeves topped with a black cowl, a pair of orchid-colored leggings, and a pair of black boots.

"You are not even the definition of good, so why would I greet you a 'Good morning', Badwolf?" Cerise responded, raising an eyebrow. "See? It is not even in your name."

"Oh! I am offended," the girl spoke in mock offence with her eyebrows furrowed as she walked past Cerise. "But the last time I checked, it is not even in your name, Hood." She then turned around and put up a fighting stance.

"Oh, I'm scared!" Cerise mocked, flailing her arms around as she rolled her eyes. "Ramona has claws! But she forgets that I also have them." She then raised a hand and mimed a claw.

"Now you're just insulting me."

"Girls, it is only 6:30 in the morning," the woman from the counter said. "Don't fight."

The two teens eased up and laughed when they heard their mother say that.

"We're not fighting, mom," Cerise replied as she headed to the dish cabinet to grab some cups and plates. "We're just having a playful banter."

"And I'm winning," Ramona added as she followed her sister to get some utensils.

"Psh, how can you win a playful banter?"

"By getting into your opponent's head."

"Girls…"

The two teens groaned and began to set up the table. The woman then followed by setting down a plate of bacon and eggs in front of them.

Ramona eyed the food, as if she was expecting something else.

"There are some leftovers inside the fridge," the woman suddenly said.
