"Took you long enough."
Cerise skidded to a stop right before she could crash into the open backdoor.
"Ramona!" she gasped.
Ramona was dressed in an oversized black t-shirt, a pair of red shorts, and a pair of black sneakers.
"Mom and Dad are out," her sister stated as she moved to the side. "She told me to tell you to cook dinner once you come back."
Cerise stepped into the house, immediately greeted by a set-up kitchen. "When did they leave?" she looked back at her sister with a wince.
Ramona shut the door and looked up at the wall clock then back at her. "About three hours ago."
Cerise bit her lip. "Sorry."
"Don't worry about that," Ramona assured. "They'll be coming back in about an hour or two, worry about that."
Cerise removed her hood and took a red apron from the rack. She took another and threw it at her sister.
"Woah, what?" Ramona spoke as she removed the white fabric that had fallen on her face.
"You're going to help me," the Hood stated, tying the waist ties of her own.
"I burn water," the Badwolf rebutted, waving about the cloth. She then held the top part to properly show the object. "And what the hex is this?!"
"Mom's spare apron," Cerise responded, stifling a snicker.
Ramona held the ruffly pinafore apron to her front and frowned. "I'll look like a castle maid."
"That's the only other apron we have." The black haired girl walked over to the counter and looked at the ingredients.
"I'm not wearing this!" the wolf whispered.
Cerise did not look up from the set up. "Mom will scold you if you get your clothes messy."
"Then I'd rather just sit around and watch."
Cerise turned around, spotting the Badwolf sitting on a chair that was turned backwards.
"I won't be able to finish everything by myself," she tried to reason, placing a hand on her hip. "So, please? Just this once?"
"No."
Cerise sighed as she looked up, trying to come up with an idea to get her sister to help her. She tapped her fingers against the counter as she scoured her mind. Soon, a smirk crept to her face the moment something came to mind.
"If you help me, I'll help you ask Ginger out."
She watched as a glint appeared and disappeared on her sister's eyes, followed by a blush coloring her face.
The Badwolf stood up from her seat. "That's cheating!"
Cerise pointed at her face. "But you're interested."
The older girl huffed and rolled her eyes as she pushed her chair back in place. "Fine."
The black haired girl pumped her fist up in the air. "Yes!" she silently celebrated.
"But no one should know about… this," the brown haired girl said with a wince as she hesitantly put on the apron.
"Pfft! That's the last thing you should be concerned about," Cerise waved her hand in Dismissal before turning back towards the counter.
"I meant it, Ris." Her sister approached her, still trying to tie her apron. "So… What are we making?"
"Stew and something sweet," Cerise said simply after giving the ingredients one final scan. She headed over to the sink, reaching into her apron's pocket. "Tie your hair back and wash your hands."
