The young Queen woke up the next morning with a throbbing headache.

"What… happened?" Raven groaned. She sat up and placed a hand on her head.

Something jumped from beside her.

"You're awake!" Maddie cheered from the floor.

Raven looked at her in utter confusion. "Yes… I am…" She groaned. "What happened earlier?"

"Yesterday, actually," the tri-colored-haired girl corrected, her head appearing from the side of the bed.

"Huh?"

It was only then when Raven noticed that Maddie was dressed in her pajamas.

"What happened?!" Raven asked with wide eyes.

"You turned into a dragon," the human responded as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

Raven furrowed her eyebrows. "What do you mean by that?"

Maddie shrugged. "Reina said that it was your curse."

"What curse? I don't recall…" her voice trailed off as she realized what Maddie was telling her. "Don't tell me…"

Maddie bit her lip and looked down for a moment. "It's not that bad. You looked great." She let out a nervous giggle.

Raven held Maddie by the shoulders. "Did I hurt anyone?" she asked, her voice laced with worry. "Where are Cerise and Darling?"

Maddie gave her a small smile, which she supposed was to comfort her, and a pat on the shoulder. "No one got hurt. They just went home."

Raven sighed in relief. And then stiffened up again. "My mo–"

"I found her sleeping on the kitchen floor earlier," Maddie interrupted.

Raven, not knowing how to comprehend the statement, closed and opened her mouth like a fish.

"What?" she asked, the moment she got her bearings.

Maddie tapped a finger on her chin and looked up. "I think she was supposed to make some breakfast. But collapsed on the way." She looked back down at Raven. "I tucked her on the sofa and came back here. I guess I fell asleep right after."

The grin that the tri-colored-haired girl was giving her only made her more uncomfortable. And her companion must have noticed it since it faltered.

"How about we change our clothes for now?" Maddie offered. "I'll relay the events to you while we have tea."

Raven bit her lip but relented anyway.

Besides, it is still early in the morning. Her duties can wait until much later.

True to her word, Maddie did serve the both of them tea and tea.

"And they went home," Maddie finished before taking a sip from her mug.

She was dressed in a purple shirt topped with a mint zip-up hoodie, a pair of mint shorts, and a pair of black high tops.

Of course she did not tell Raven everything. The conversation that she had with Reina seemed too personal to share to anyone.

Especially the details about the history of curses associated with the family. It looked like Raven was not even informed of them at the slightest.

A smile tugged at Raven's lips as she took a sip from her own mug. "Did you really wind up casting a light spell?"

She was dressed in a dark purple shirt, a pair of black ripped jeans, and a pair of black sneakers.
