Already, her bed was feeling a little more empty. He had never even been to her room, but it was 24 hours since she slept at his place and the lingering feeling of waking up lying on his chest was making her crave his presence.

If she thought about him enough she felt that she could maybe dream him up. She missed him desperately; Missed his lips on hers, his hands on her waist, and simply his being that made her feel more alive. She was consumed by him in every way, and that was all she needed to know that her confession of love was not all adrenaline. He could no longer just be her friend, she couldn't bear a reality where he wasn't more than that. She loved him, and that was becoming increasingly more obvious.

But as much as she would like to lay in the bed and daydream about the last night, she had hit snooze about 3 times already. Camryn had school to get to and she had work.

She got up and got herself ready first and then headed to Camryn's room. She stood in the doorway of her daughter's room for several moments. To her surprise, Camryn was already awake and was dancing in the middle of the rug that sat in front of her bed. Emmy watched as she attempted turns and leaped across her room. She gazed in awe thinking about how much Camryn was turning out just like her. The more she looked on, however, she couldn't help but think, Where'd she learn this, as it was quite obvious by her set that she was attempting pirouettes.

Dance moms, she answered to her own thought. She had let Camryn see a couple of the first few episodes to contain her attention while she cooked dinner a few nights.

Camryn was so into her dances, moving so energetically that she didn't even notice Emmy standing in the door. She hated to make her stop to get dressed so she let her dance just a little more before stepping through the room.

"Good job babygirl," Emmy exclaimed as she walked up to the rug at the end of her pirouette.

Camryn stopped moving and slightly jumped from being startled by her words. She turned to her mom with a unending grin. Emmy made a mental note to search for dance classes before adding, "You ready to get dressed for school?"

Camryn nodded and the two of them worked together to get her dressed before heading to school.

At the day school, Daveed was already there, actively pushing Amber's backpack into a cubby when Emmy walked in. He squeezed the toy filled bag into the compartment and then stood up to lock eyes with Emmy. They smiled for a second of connection before Emmy turned to go hang up Camryn's jacket.

She met him again outside when they were both heading out the door. "Hey," she spoke happily once she caught up to him.

"Hey," he grinned down at her, "How you been?"

"Pretty good," she giggled, "And you?"

Daveed's mind had been in overdrive since their night together. He'd been running through every interaction he'd ever had with her, even going back to the times they'd just pass each other in hallways.  He was thinking about so many things all at once, trying to pinpoint when he fell for her. He couldn't help it, calculated was one of his defining qualities and he typically thought things through.

But with this, there wasn't much to think through. All the roads that led to them meeting just happened. And him falling for her just happened. Suddenly, he was in love with this amazing, radiant woman with this infectious laugh that he couldn't get enough of. She made him happy in a way he hadn't felt in a while and brought to him this peace by just being around.

The outside breeze brought him back to Earth as he continued to walk by Emmy's side. It had been a quiet walk to the parking lot but they had already discovered that they were more than comfortable just being near one another.
