A/N Really cute Jules and Matt interaction. Really enjoyed writing this one. Comment what you think!
Jules and Matt spent the rest of the day devising a plan on how to tackle the search of Bond Street. They hoped to find clues no matter how miniscule. Just something to give them a sense of direction. Get a step closer to their main goal.
Jules was buzzing. She felt this unattainable pressure pushing against her ribs. She had to act. She had to move. Normally when she felt like this she would dance, a skill she had honed for many years, may even have done professionally until Jameson happened. When dancing, Jules felt connected to everything but at the same time cocooned in a private sector of her mind. It was thrilling. However, her pointe shoes where at her apartment. Matt pointed out that she was wanted by the police and should probably lay low to avoid getting caught. So, they worked together to bide their time...

Jules opens her eyes to the euphoric morning light. She stretches and pulls down the oversized t-shirt of Matt's she's wearing. She laughs to herself about how she's gotten into the habit of wearing his clothes. A gesture so slight but meant something so impactful to her, he's sharing a part of himself.
Matt senses that Jules is awake and walks over to his bedroom. He leans against the doorway and the sight of him makes Jules freeze. Matt's thick brown hair is perfectly disheveled and he's wearing only a pair of black and red pajama pants. She hasn't seen him shirtless in a while and his body had obviously changed over the years. He was now sculptured abs and muscles and sharp v lines. She was gaping and Matt knew it. "You okay sweetheart?" Jules blinks rapidly and clears her throat. "Er uh yeah yeah I'm good."
She hops off the bed and as she moves closer, she notices the various scars along his chest and lower stomach. "Shit Matty, I see you've been busy." Matt raises his eyebrows in acknowledgement. "How did it happen?" she asks softly running her fingers over a jagged scar just below his collarbone. Jules kisses it lightly causing Matt's stomach to do a flurry of somersaults.
"Nobu. He was a guy working for Fisk. He was sent to kill me." Jules nods. "I bet that was just a regular Monday evening for you though." Matt smiles. "Yeah, I guess, but I made it out." He shrugs passively. Jules trails her hand down his chest, feeling him tighten under her fingers. She traces her fingers over a scar on the far left of his stomach. "I bet you were scared right? I know in our line of work we don't really admit that. But we're human. It doesn't disappear."
Matt sighs prolongingly then after a few seconds. "I try not to think about it. Most times I'm so angry I want to rip the bad guys to pieces. But I definitely get scared sometimes, even if it's only slightly. And this Nobu guy." Matt laughs. "That son of a bitch was good, as good as me, maybe even better." Jules eyes widen in astonishment. "I'd never think I'd hear you admit someone was a better fighter than you." Matt rolls his eyes. "Well, I am a good Catholic boy and we're supposed to be humble." Jules raises a skeptical brow.
"Anyways enough about me, there's something important we must address here. Do you know you snore?" Jules scoffs and punches him lightly, pushing her hands from his chest. However, Matt keeps a tight grip around her back, pulling Jules to him. He tilts his head downwards, so his lips are by her ear. "I don't mind though." And he gently presses his lips to Jules who relaxes against him. Jules had never felt this way about anyone she'd been with before. There was no doubt and she wasn't holding herself back. She could just be.
She slightly pulls away and rests her forehead against his. "Okay fine you've got that one me Matthew. But don't forget I knew you in fifth grade when you had that floppy haircut and middle parting." Matt groans dramatically. "Ugh Jules no! Anything but that. I did become an orphan at ten, but that haircut is probably my most traumatic memory." Jules giggles and kisses him again.
They stand like that for a few seconds. Holding onto each other and soaking up each other's warmth. Matt smooths down Jules hair, tucking it behind her ears. "Jules your beautiful." She presses her lips together to stop herself from grinning madly. "Oh really? How would you know?" Matt smiles and laces his fingers with hers. "I just do. Trust me, there are other ways to see."
