THE COP AND THE REDNECK (A Shane Walsh and Daryl Dixon love story)

Chapter 14

                      Kiera's POV

Shane and I wake up in the tower wrapped in each other's arms. "Morning gorgeous." He says kissing me and I immediately feel like I'm going to throw up. I jolt up and start hovering over then throw up. "Are you that disgusted at me?" He asked jokingly holding my hair back.

"Shut up. It's the stupid morning sickness." I say and lay back against his chest.

"You feel better now?" He asked.

"Much." I say and try to kiss him but he pulls back and stands up and I look at him.

"Kiera you know I love you but I'm not kissing you after you just threw up." He says and I just stare at him in disbelief.

"Really? This is your kid that's making me sick you know that right?" I say and stand up.

"I know but it's gross. Go rinse your mouth out and then I'll kiss you okay?" He says and kisses my forehead then starts to climb down the tower and starts walking towards the prison.

I climb down after him and as we was walking town to the cell block I ran into Sage. "Hey I'll be down in a minute I'm going to talk with Sage." I tell Shane and he just nods his head and continues walking.

"So I guess you and him finally made up?" Sage asked and I nod my head yes.

"So how is it going with Daryl?" I ask. 

"Fine he's not the best with morning sickness but we're dealing with that." She says and I start laughing.

"Shane isn't the best with it either." I say and we start heading back to the cell block.

When we got there I saw Shane holding the baby and Daryl beside him and then I heard Rick and Hershel asking Michonne questions. "What happened? Where did they take our people? Why did you come here?" I heard Rick asked.

"There's a town named Woodbury. A lot of survivors were taken there. It's ran by a guy who calls himself the Governor. The walls are protected from walkers but we could slip through." She says.

"This is Hershel the father of the girl who was taken and that girl over there peaking from behind the wall is Kiera." Rick says motioning towards me.

"Sorry I was just being nosy." I say and walk towards them.

"Hershel here will redress the wound on your leg to make sure everything's healing properly." Says Rick.

"I'll do it. Give Hershel a break." I say and he nods.

"Then I guess we will leave it to you." He says and the two of them walk out.

I start by taking the bandages off from the night before and looking at the wound  when she starts talking.

"Where did you all find the baby at?" Michonne asked.

"We didn't find her. Rick's wife was pregnant and died during a c section." I say as I clean the wound.

"Who would get pregnant during this time?" She asked me as I put the bandage back on the wound.

"It wasn't planned so don't judge her so quick or the father of the baby." I say standing up.

"Thank you Kiera I appreciate what you and your people are doing for me. I'll be out of here as soon as I get better." Michonne says.

"Don't plan on leaving anytime soon. Rick has plans for you I believe. Don't be walking on that leg now you here." I say and she nods.

I walk out of the cell block to see Carl running towards me. "Kiera! Kiera!" He yells.

"What's wrong Carl?" I ask.

"Nothing is wrong I just thought of a name for the baby." He says and I immediately feel relieved.

"Oh what's the name?" I ask.

"Well I had this really nice teacher in school that helped me a lot and I thought I should do something to remember her by and her name was Judith." He explains.

"That's a beautiful name Carl. Let's go see what your dad thinks of it." I say and he takes off to go find Rick.

I walk into the main cell block and see everyone talking with one another. "Hey gorgeous." I hear Shane say from behind me.

"Hey. Carl came up with a name for the baby, I think you should hear it." I say.

"He did?" Shane said.

"Yep I told him to go ask Rick what he thought of it." I said as Carl came running towards the two of us.

" Kiera dad said that we could name the baby Judith!" Carl exclaimed.

"That's great Carl! Who has your sister?" I ask.

"Sage." He says And takes off again.

"Well let's go get Judith." I say and we go get Judith from Sage.

"It's our turn to hold the baby." I say and take the Judith from Sage.

"No fair I just got her." Sage argues.

"Just because we both need practice with babies doesn't mean that you get to hog this one, plus you had me to practice with." I say rocking Judith in my arms.

"Fine but I get her back when your tired of holding her." She says and her and Daryl take off walking somewhere.

"Let's go take her outside I'm sure she could use some fresh air." I say.

"Let's go." He says and we walk outside.

We were talking and playing with Judith until Sage came out and got us. "Rick has something to tell us." She said.

Shane picked Judith off the ground and we made our way into the cell block. "Since everyone is here now I'll announce the agreement I have made with Michonne."  Rick said then continued to say "Michonne has agreed to show us the way to Woodbury so we could get our people back.". Rick said as Beth got the baby from me.

"I'll go." Daryl said.

"Count me in." Shane says.

"Okay then let's get going." Rick said and went to get some supplies together.

"What were you thinking?" I ask Shane as we walked to our cell.

"What do you mean?" He asked putting extra ammo in a backpack.

"Don't play dumb with me." I say getting aggravated at him.

" Rick can't do this on his own he needs back up besides Michonne." He says.

"That doesn't explain why you had to volunteer to go. T-dog could go in your place and you could stay here." I explain.

"Kiera you know I love you and I would love to stay here but Glenn has saved my ass more times than I can count. I owe the little Asian boy my life. He has saved all of us and Maggie she's contributed a lot to our group. I'm going to do whatever I can to help get them back."  He says and walks out. 

I sit on the bed for a few minutes until Sage comes and gets me to tell me they are about to leave. I walk outside to where they have one of the cars sitting while they pack there supplies into the trunk. I see Shane putting his bag in the trunk and walk up to him.  "Be safe. " I tell him then kiss him.

"You too." He says kissing me and touching my belly.

We hug one more time before he goes and gets in the passengers side of the vehicle. " I'll keep an eye on him for you." Daryl says coming beside me and I nod my head as a thank you.

Rick,Michonne,Daryl, and Shane get in the car and head off to Woodbury.
