Chapter 21: Jealousy
It's been a long time and a lot has happened eversince she came into his life. But one thing is certain, kaunti lang ang alam niya kay Georgia at nakakafrustrate iyon. He only know a little about her. He doesn't know her favorite color, favorite food, the things she like to do and such. He should have done this before but he held back a lot because of his pride. He's the kind of man who will not adore anyone but himself. So now it's frustrating to watch everyone offer things to Georgia while he sits still and observe.
"What do you want to eat?" He asked Georgia, not sure of what to offer to her.
"Anything." Ang tanging sagot nito.
He frustratedly sighed and looked at the foods in the table. Nag-isip muna siya ng ibibigay kay Georgia. Come to think of it, hindi niya alam ang mga pagkaing madalas na kinakain ni Georgia, ang mga paborito nito. Ni hindi siya aware kung mayroon ba itong allergies, baka mali ang maiabot niya. Just stating the fact that he didn't pay attention to her. He focused on his pride, and she became an outcast to him. Damn.
Hindi siya sanay na siya ang nag-aabot o nagbibigay kaya hindi niya alam ang gagawin. He grew up being served. But now he want to change things. He want to do the things he couldn't do before for Georgia, but how? He just made a mistake recently, hindi niya nga alam kung paano makakabawi.
"You like sweets, right? It's your favorite." Biglang sabi ni Lord Malca at inabot ang mga dessert kay Georgia.
Masigla naman itong tinanggap ni Georgia. "Thank you, Lord Malca."
Damn, parang tinusok ang kaniyang puso habang pinagmamasdan ang kaniyang asawa na masayang nilalantakan ang mga pagkain na iniabot sa kaniya. Dapat siya 'yon, siya lang ang may karapatang magpangiti kay Georgia. Pero hindi niya nga alam kung ano'ng gagawin, papano niya mapapasaya ang kaniyang Empress? Tuloy ay bumalik sa isip niya kung paano ito nagpapansin sa kaniya noon pero binalewala niya lang.
"Do you still like this drink?" Sabi naman ni Lord Luthor at iniabot ang matamis na kopita ng ubas kay Georgia.
Nagliliwanag ang mukha ni Georgia itong tinanggap. "Yes, Lord Luthor. I'm glad you still remember, thank you!"
Nanatili siyang nakamasid. Ang dami niya pang hindi alam tungkol kay Georgia, at hindi niya alam kung saan magsisimula, kung paano sisimulan ang pagkilala sa kaniyang asawa. He don't know how to be calm, he's still irrational, natatakot siyang magkamali na naman. Should he start a conversation? But what topic would Georgia like?
"How are your parents, your majesty?" Tanong ni Lord Flavio. Alaric frowned, is that a good topic? And is that how you start a conversation?
"They're doing good now." Sagot ni Georgia. "Thank you for asking."
Did something happen to her parents? Damn, such an irresponsible man he is. Kapag pumupunta kasi ang mga ito sa imperyo upang bumisita ay lagi siyang busy sa mga bagay bagay. Tuloy ay curious siya ngayon kung ano'ng problema sa mga magulang ni Georgia. Hence, he's glad everything turned out fine. He should do better now instead of being irrational.
"It's been a tough battle, right? I'm glad you're fine as well, your majesty." Sabi ni Flavio.
Tila lumubog ang puso ni Alaric. Napakarami niyang hindi alam tungkol kay Georgia. When he held back, he was sure what he was feeling towards her was dangerous. So he chose not to acknowledge her presence, but it's getting hard. He can't identify which is love, and which is not.
"Thank you. Of course, ako na 'to." Natatawang sagot ni Georgia. Damn, this woman is gorgeous. Bakit ngayon niya lang napansin? Ah, he probably never stared at her before the way he's doing right now.
