  CONTAINS RECAPS/SPOILERS

On her fifteenth birthday, Elocin's home island sinks down the sea, encasing her and everyone in it. Leagues below from the surface, she battles crazed islanders and odd fish people as the city begins to sink. In the last moments of the book, she looks at a beast eye to eye who understands her bitterness.

*The idea of an island sinking was inspired by a dream I had when I was sixteen. Having thalassophobia, it was a terrifying dream I couldn't describe enough to write on the book.

*As the city falls leagues down the ocean, other "creatures" that live in the depths begin to explore the new environment that joined the ocean.

*Elocin encountered Cthulu, the same god-like beast that devoured Jamie on another book.

*The remaining survivors in the drowned island either died of starvation, or the lack of oxygen. Keep in mind that everything is pitch black and it was difficult to navigate even a step.

*Elocin's bitterness of her family grows to hatred, and becomes a root to her narcissism. The dangerous, growing situation makes her insane and unstable.

*The ending is up for the readers to think if Elocin is alive or not. Maybe both?
