C35: Going Back to the Main Big Base part 1

"This is the longest Winter I ever had!" Dong Ming said in a helpless and mixed emotions.

"The worst one." Li Huahuan added as the snowfalls were gone and the sun started to smile timidly from afar.

"I can't wait to go out." said by Dong Ming again.

"hm." Li Huahuan nodded. "But we still have to wait for a little more days. The Captain said it was safer not to rush. And as long as no one knows of the importance of the crystal core of that winter zombie it would be ok to wait for a time being. And other than us, no one knows that that winter zombie will weaken and die after the winter is over so no one would be coming to look for it for now."

"I'm ready!" He Qian rushed from the stairs as he came running down until he reached to the two.

Captain Fu's team needs to go back to the main base to report and He Qian decided to go back with them. Dong Ming and Li Huahuan was also part of the team coming with them.

As for Dr Moon, he decided to stay there and play missing from the main base for the time being so he is not coming with them.

"Brother Qianqian, if your family still bullied you this time then you better just live with us. You are very welcome to our house." Dong Ming said seriously sounding strict with his tone as it was not a secret to them how He Qian was treated by his family.

He Qian was touched as he seriously nodded. "Ofcourse. Big Brother Moon would not stop reminding about it last night." He Qian could see that Dr Moon even though sometimes weird, he is acting more and more like a real big brother to him and even Captain Fu, Dong Ming, Li Huahuan, the hot tempered Tong Feng, Sister An Ran and the rest of Captain Fu's team are now much more warmer to him than the first time he came here. He was really touched by their kindness and for the first time, he felt like he finally had a home and a family where he belonged. This kind of belongingness really melted his long cold, loner heart and it was unexpectedly good feelings.

"Let's go." Captain Fu walked passed them so they hurriedly followed.

Xiao Xiao was still on his palm sized form and it was nesting on He Qian's head as usual. Magus was also on his tiniest form acting as a silver bracelet around He Qian's left wrist and as for Nan, the lizard is not too interested to go with them as it happily stayed in Little Sichen's little shoulder acting friendly with the kid.

(Little Sichen is kid Little Fu with autism. He is Captain Fu's little brother. Little Sichen was adopted by Captain Fu's parents if you still remember it.)

Going back to the main base, He Qian was not too excited at all. In fact, he was feeling bored thinking of his body's worthless hypocrite family. But he still remember that the mother of the original He Qian owned a precious piece of jade that he was supposed to get back from Li Chang.

They were fast this time on the road although it still takes hours of driving and when they get back, He Qian give his sincere thanks to Captain Fu and the rest before he parted with them.

Dong Ming and Li Huahuan offered to accompany him but He Qian quickly rejected the idea. 'Kids! This uncle is old enough to go home alone!'

"Young Master Qian'er!" the old man's happy face brimming with happy tears is what appeared unexpectedly infront of He Qian as he get back home. He Qian was stunned for a moment as he actually almost forgot about this old butler which is one of the person that he liked first when he get to this base when he got home to the original He Qian's family.

"Butler Old Wang!" He Qian greeted happily.

*meow!*

Even Xiao Xiao was happy to meet the old man again while Magus remained a bracelet.

"Young Master Qian'er! Young Master Xiao Xiao! Welcome back!" the old man warmly welcomed them.

"Butler Old Wang, how are you here?" He Qian started to asked as they get inside.

"Good. I'm good." the old man happily answered. "What about you? I'm really worried that you are not eating right outside. And I'm worrying if you have enough clothes to wear from the cold weather. Right! Are you hungry? I will prepare for your warm bath first and while you are bathing I will start preparing your meal. Oh! It must be too tough for you outside and I know you need enough nutrients to stay healthy. Did you--"

The old man never stop talking and He Qian could only listen and sometimes he would answer to the old man as he warmly smiled at his sincere kindness towards him.

He Qian also tried to ask about his Father, step mom and step sister to pick some important information about them and he learned something interesting from Old Butler Wang.

His father and Li Chang had actually quarreled as his foolish father still strongly believe that the piece of jade that was owned by his mother was being kept by Li Chang.

But Li Chang was shameless enough to deny the truth and still insisted that He Qian lied to them and that he was still keeping the jade and was just luring them to fight to break his engagement with Jia Shufen. What an asshole!

As for her step sister. Jia Shufen was busying on things that even Old Butler Wang doesn't know of. Jia Shufen was often coming late at home lately and she sometimes looks sneaky and secretive with the things she bring home to work on her room.

"But.." suddenly, Old Butler Wang carefully looked around as if afraid of something else and when he made sure that no one is around he get a little closer to He Qian still with his furtive sharp eyes watching around as he whispered in his ears. "One time when she forgot to close the door I secretly peek inside and I saw her holding a shining black stone. I don't know what that was but I know it was something very good and precious."

He Qian listen intently as Xiao Xiao's little ears perked up. Both the man and the kitten stared at each others eyes with a greed excitement as they were very interested with this shining black stone that Old Butler Wang was talking about. 'Black Stone? If Jia Shufen was keeping it then it must be a very good stuff! But what could it be?'

He Qian was too focused that no one noticed the silver bracelet moved around He Qian's wrist and it's golden bright snake eyes glinted in the shadow.
