Pursuing Life Is Hard Everytime

C66: Mutated Plant part 1

"Host! Good job! That is exactly what is happening right now! I'm glad you understand it way faster this time!"

He Qian solemnly gritted his teeth. Just now as they run to the door, Magus had already scanned what's happening inside the room while showing him a fast scanning data of words and letters flying around in a screen. Without Magus telling him he hurriedly reacted by Tong Feng's temper as to hurriedly stop him as his gaze focused on the word interrupting and damaging it's prey. He still doesn't understand it but seeing Captain Fu's life in danger had suddenly made wonder in his dull brain that it suddenly reacted at a crucial point. When he shouted to stop Tong Feng, he was yet unsure and yet sure as he made judgement that time.

"Host, when attacking this mutated plant while devouring his prey, it would cause no harm to its main body and would only bring unfortune to the unlucky prey as the prey would only receive the pain of the attack. If Tong Feng made that move now the one who suffered will be Captain Fu and might disrupt him from countering on this mutated plant that wants to consume him. It was such a surprise that a mutated plant can travel through land from one place to another as if with it's own mind and thinking. Very impressive!"

He Qian sighed silently as he listened to Magus. 'Good thing he had reacted like that and stop Tong Feng on time!'

"With a closer look I can finally scan it more freely and clearly as to analyze it fast and well and guess what?! This mutated plant is even more amazing than it seemed!  Aren't we being too lucky this days?"

He Qian had an ugly look upon hearing the last words of his system. "Too  ..lucky?  Just what does being  lucky  mean after all those fights and injuries they all had?!"

"I finally know why it had a DNA of an animal in him. It looks like it had spended his days growing by consuming animals or mutated animals around him. Really impressive! Those alien freaks and even those brats from Earth 21 would be so crazy as to have this plant when they discovered it's existence! Ah! Ah! This ruins unexpectedly brings a lot of unexpected things!"

He Qian could seriously feel it's high mood full of blooming flowers. It was almost like the screen data running in his head would have rained a colorful flowers instantly in a minute. But he just realized while watching the fast working datas in his head how really amazing his system is. Truly a cheat system.

"Host, it seemed that when this plant started attacking Captain Fu he was still unconscious.  It's just that his instincts and reactions to danger were too powerful that even being like that he could still fought back even infront of this kind of devouring species.  Captain Fu is really a very special existence. No wonder that mysterious weirdo man wants him either dead or alive. Anyway, Captain  Fu must have regained consciousness sensing the unfamiliar presense of this plant and activated his ability... ah! The Captain actually had level up again while sleeping! And it seemed like fire is the nemesis of this plant!  No wonder!  No wonder!  Impressive!!  Quick!  Touch any part of it's root.  I want to do something!"

He Qian widen his eyes upon hearing the systems request. "What!? You want me to touch it?! Wouldn't it devour me as well?!!"

"Ofcourse it well. But with me beside you this plant wouldnt devour you completely. Dont worry!"

He Qian wants to cry without tears. "If this is just the roots then where could his main body be? Would it also attacked us?"

"Host! Good question! The real weakness of this mutated plant is that it's main body was at it's weakest when devouring a prey and it seemed that when Captain Fu instinctively counterstriked him his main body was also striked making the roots more at disadvantage.  But this plant still had a powerful manipulative skill and it had already injected a lot of it's body fluids inside Captain Fu's body. Like I said,  this mutated plant had already had it's own mind and thinking making it's skill more effective for him. That must be why the Captain could not open his eyes even when his consciousness was already awakened. But still, with the Captain's strong mentality and it's leveling up the mutated plant was still said to be under his mercy now. Now, hold any parts of the roots. We need to stop it from continuing injecting it's body fluids to the Captain's body."

"I understand. I'll leave it all to you." He Qian touched a part of it's root without a second thought and XiaoXiao, who saw He Qian's movements watched carefully on the side without questioning his actions preparing to slice the root anytime if something bad would happen to him.

When He Qian touched the roots, he was faced with a great force that was fast sucking all of his strength in just a second. It was too creepy and scary as if his little life would be sucked away anytime soon.

"Host, just relax!"

He Qian felt something warm wrapping around him and all the suffocating feeling was washed away as he sighed comfortably. 'Thank you so much, Magus!' He sighed again tearily. When everything was over and he open his closed eyes, He Qian realized it was already more than an hour had passed as the breathing roots died down both skin and dried around Captain Fu's body.

Captain Fu's eyes quivered as it suddenly opened.

"Captain!!" Everyone cried at the same time as they circled around him excitedly.

Captain Fu stared at them for a moment before he moved his upper body to stand at the table where he was lying making all the dried skin roots fall off his body as it all lightly fly into pieces in mid air until it landed on the floor, covering the gray marble floor in dried green parts of the mutated plants.

Captain Fu has been fully aware of everything after being attacked by something although he only managed a blurry sight of that thing attacking him.  He tried to burn it with his black fire but it had actually devoured his black fire which greatly surprised him but even with that he doesn't stop attacking it with his black fire and it seemed like it wasn't happy to devour his fire anymore as it reacted fiercely while also reacting as if being poisoned. Next thing he know his body became numb inside out as if something was penetrating all his nerves and attacking his brain while feeling his vitality being pulled away from his body little by little.  Well,  it was a bloody fight in there until he sensed another existence helping him and then everything ended unclearly.  Still,  he felt a lot lighter and stronger now which is more surprising. And he even felt something weird inside of him. It is kind of weird that is only weird and yet not threatening.

"Host! The Captain is really amazing! At first I wanted to get rid of the mutated plants body fluids rampaging around his entire body but who would've thought he would subdue that plant. Rather than being manipulated he had manipulated it back instead. I can say not only is he crazily amazing but he is such a very dangerous existence! More dangerous than anything I had seen and encountered all my life!"

"Magus, what do you mean?" He Qian  asked curiously.

"Anwering to host, to explain it in a simple way, you hatched XiaoXiao so he had imprinted in his own self to see u and treat you as it's own parent he would love and cherished all his life while becoming dependent to you all his life. The moment he accepted his feelings of love and attachment for you, you two had already build a contract of a father and son relationship. As for Captain Fu, he managed to forcely tame and subdue the wild nature of the mutated plant to the point of brainwashing it in fright and making it accept the intrusion of Captain Fu as he completely bow down in bend knees infront of him. Inshort, he accepted an agreement of a master and slave from Captain Fu. This kind of acceptance is like a contract between the two of them and is impossible to break easily!  In more simple words, the mutated plant had now treated the Captain as a parent and a master he would be dependent of for forever! Ah! Ah! Really impressive! To think it happened inside his brain, while being manipulated he manipulated it into subduing instead! So powerful! Captain Fu is too crazy! Too dangerous! His growth is beyond limitless. He is not a human!"

He Qian seriously thought of the explanation Magus gave him and he nodded his head heavily with the praises the system has given Captain Fu.
He already had the face, the height, the body, the ability! And now this one! Life is too unfair! He also wants to be as hot, as handsome,  as tall, and as powerful as Captain Fu!! Huhuhu!
He Qian throw a glaring envy at Captain Fu with a tearful expression. His cheeks became flushed as it bulged in annoyance.

Captain Fu happened to see He Qian's expression and his heart secretly felt warmed. "This little guy must be worried sake of me. He was even on the verge of tears. *sigh!* I had worried everyone." He thought silently.
