I, Astrie Mell, have been asked by the Jedi council to log my findings on this data pad. In the process I will also be logging my strategic process in how the war is going. So far I have had no luck breaking through the mountain range. Their advanced weaponry added to the harsh surroundings prove to be difficult. Just earlier today we woke to a great green energy ball hurtling twords us. Luckily our Shields were able to block it. Though the hit still managed to disable the majority of our cannons. All my requests for back up have been denied. So far it is only me and a few 1000 troops taking on who knows how many bugs. For the most part our advances have been pointless, but I think we have discovered a new way to attack.
The Geonosian's underground hive will be their tomb. As we advance I have noticed that the battlefield was prone to sinkholes from heavy artillery. At first I had used this as a way to make tactical cover and easy trenches, but now, now I have discovered a series of catacombs beneath the planets surface. I'm not sure how safe they are but so far the constant forward push has been successful. The narrow hallways have made it easy to move troops. In what I call the "Diserpent movement" a Jedi knight guards the face and rear of a line of troops. This allows us an easy pursuit. Slowly but surely we are moving troops from the base under attack to behind enemy lines. The Geonosian weaponry has thankfully been designed to kill organic mass and not destroy the tunnels. This war is almost over, and in the process I have learned of a strange alloy. It seems to be a mixture of beskar and geonosian glass pressed together in extremely high temperature.
The Geonosian's have found a mock after death. I've heard stories of a great Geonosian Queen who wielded strange magic to make undead out of the dead. Now after slicing off the head of one of the bugs, I believe it to be true. It kept moving till I dismembered all of it. The deeper we go the more dangerous it is. I've called all groups to head above ground. We had managed to secure ground inside the colosseum, a great structure they have built, but I don't know how long we can hold it. The bugs are aggressive and ruthless, I've even seen them eat parts of dead soldiers. I believe I may have found something, it looks ancient, maybe even from as far back as the infinite empire.
We have held off all forces and are regaining area. New fighters have joined our ranks. Yui, a former ally of mine, and his group of friends have gone. We also have an old friend joining us. Curiy is here to study these beings. I have also managed to access the computer in the collosium. It seems it speaks the same language that the temple did on Xenostis. I believe it to be an ancient Kwa technology. Curiy has made mention that it hold similar to the engravings on the Infinity Gate on Tython. It seems to hold a map of the planet surrounded by red dots within the rings. I believe it to be a version of our Hammerhead Station prototype. If so it could prove useful in destroying our enemies.
I was right, the terminal is a planetary defence mechanism. It uses powerful energy to move and lunch rocks from Geonosis' rings. If I can manage to lunch it at the enemy fields we will win with fewer to no casualties on our side. Curiy and Yui are helping me recode the machine. With this new weapon on our side we will win this battle in record time.

The weapon worked, sadly though it worked too well. The mass destruction destroyed and compacted a large part of the planet. I think I know why this place is all sand. We are working on destroying this collosium for it holds the most dangerous weapon, I believe, ever known to man. I have encrypted the previous entry for it holds knowledge on how the weapon works. Only the Jedi Grand Master should have permissions to read it. Sadly I don't have the power to make that decision. The siege is over and I have successfully planned and organized a winning strategy. My new found knowledge of Geonosis will be placed in the Jedi archives. May the Force be with you.
