Astrie walked off the ship's platform, surrounded by water, Taris was full of swamp. Even the mountains in the distance looked like the surrounding wetlands. He took a few more steps and sloshed into a pool of thick mud.

"Fyurrik" Astrie blurted realizing his boots were soaked.

"You there better watch your talkin," a familiar southern accent said. "I would use my favourite sub word,"

Astrie jumped to cut him off, "Whomp rat."

Lorn turned around to see his favourite old Jedi friend Xen. Xen was a human bred between a Kel Dor. He looked human but his skin was orangish and tougher than a normal one. He was short for his age, and his silver irises sparkled. If it wasn't for his black hair he would look alien.

"What brings you here? Taris ain't a place for younglings like yourself."

"I don't think you remember this but I'm actually a Jedi knight now. Xen." Astrie made a cocky smirk.

It was unnatural for Astrie's straight face to show any emotions whatsoever. Even with the traditional brown rob, most thought he looked like a dark Jedi. The truth was the trauma of battling the Sith on Coruscant ingrained the first part of the Jedi code. "When" there is no emotion there is peace.

Astrie always added a "when" to the beginning thinking that this was what was implied. Even then though, he rarely felt any spark of emotion towards anything. He was praised by the council and many other Jedi for his strong intake and upholding of the Jedi code, but for some reason, the Jedi Grand Master, Shatel Shan, almost scolded him for it.

"Well, Jedi knight, or not, what brings you here?"

"I'm looking for my master, Corvex. He landed here not too long ago. About two days I believe."

Xen gave him a look of despair. He knew something that Astrie didn't.

"Listen, Astrie, Corvex went through and attempted to kill off the Jedi in charge of this here mission. Saying he was corrupted by this, this, plague." Xen had to dig deep into his skull to grab the information and how to say it. "Ya see Astrie,"

Astrie, cut in. "Get, to, the, point." Astrie's teeth were now grinding but his face stayed as emotionless as ever.

Xen quickened his speech. "The Republic ordered him to be killed."

Astrie's body left all tension, his face became calm, and his eyes closed.

"Listen, Astrie, I'm..."

"If he's hiding then it just makes this game more fun." Astrie's voice was emotionless, almost eerie. He started to run off into the forest. This wasn't a job to take Corvex out. It was to rescue him. Astrie thought to himself. He picked up the pace and lunged into the thick vegetation.

Astrie was a forest cat, jumping from tree to tree. His eyes swivelling to catch anything that moved. Xen had told him that Corvex would have to be on a constant move if he wanted to hide. The republic was sending tracking probe droids and squads to locate him. Any time Astrie found a droid he would place a tracker on it. If they stopped moving, he found Corvex's coordinates.

The only problem would be running into a search squadron. Were Corvex would do everything in his power to keep them alive... Astrie... he was too quick to kill.

A buzzing sound was to his left. It wasn't a prob, nor was the sound of lasers. It sounded like, lightning. Rushing over and dodging the small branches, being sure to stay quiet, he made his way over there. There standing below him stood a hooded figure with a respirator. His blue lightning crackled from the tips of his gloved hands. An entire search squad had been fried to death.

Astrie, living up to his wolf clan title, lunged at the dark figure, blade pointed towards the Sith. The shadow caught the blade in his hand slamming it into the ground. Astrie quickly adjusted his stance.

Now facing the Sith's face, he realized who he was... You are quick to kill, very un-Jedi-like. Then again, who is a Sith to decide... Telepathically the words jabbed his mind. For a quick second, he thought he saw a bright light. Instead, it was the flashing of a bright red lightsaber.

With the blades clashing Astrie could feel nothing. The essence of the force was no were to be found. When Astrie attempted to tap into it for a force judgment he felt nothing. Now he could remember who the Sith... Astrie, come with me. I can show you this power, the power to control all around you... Now Astrie flinched in pain. With that, the Sith kicked him back.

Out of the air, a flash of a crackling green lightning disk spun at the savage creature. The disk connected with the now dark red lightsaber deflecting it back at the owner. Catching the blade was a short Cathar of cream fur. In his hands was a lightsaber hilt, but instead of the steady green stream of energy coming out of it there, in its place, was a blade of thick crackling green lightning.

"Sith, you will leave my former Padawan untouched. If you, even so, look at him I will kill you." There stood Corvex. But his eyes were surrounded by crimson fur. The white fur on his face turned black. Bloodshot eyes stared at the crimson blade of his enemy.

Something was not right. Something was off. Astrie knew the Sith. His name was... You child, help me. Strike your former master down and together, we will do wonders only the Jedi can dream of... Astrie's body froze. Collapsing to the ground Astrie felt his face bleed. A small, blue, bolt-shaped mark appeared on his face under his left eye.
